Questions & Answers

There are so many questions that have been asked so many times that I am not able to help myself but ask Could it be used to start a 1957 Chevrolet remotely?

It was a while ago. I do not remember it. The only way I can think of is with fuel injection. My Jeep '03 starts remotely when you leave it in neutral, but only when you're driving.

Do you know if this works with the Canon EOS 60D?

Could someone tell me how we can use the remote from behind using a reflective setup? Is there any plan to build a simple unit or even have it manufactured?

You can also get cheap remote controls that come with their own receivers that mount on the flash shoe (this will also work if you just leave the receiver lying around in case you need the flash). It might be simpler to implement that way.

Can it lock open the camera? The product description stated that it was compatible with bulb mode, does that mean it can lock the camera?

In bulb mode it will work, but if it is connected to a remote control, it will not It is required that its remote control infrared transmitter can see the infrared receiver on the front of the camera in order for it to function. This means being with at least a few inches before the camera and to the right of the lens so that there is no interference with the camera. You can open the shutter by pressing the transmit button once You can now close the shutter pretty much as you like by pressing it a second time. Due to the fact that we are talking about bold mode, you have the option to As a recommendation, I would suggest If you are using the bulb mode, make sure you lock the mirror and use a weighted tripod. Although you're using a remote control, you're likely to experience a certain amount of shake, especially with telephoto lenses, going against the goal of creating a professional image Ahead of- I agree - The image is clear and sharp.

The wireless remote provided by AmazonBasics is better, but I prefer the product
4/5

The Canon RC-130 camera has been purchased by me This remote is a direct comparison to AmazonBasics Wireless Remote Control for Canon Digital SLR Cameras (I bought the AmazonBasics version first since it was *$10 cheaper, but it's a little finicky, so I hoped In the past, I have tested both remotes with a Canon DSLR SL1 Both are pretty similar in range, and neither has a significant edge over Angles are the same, distance is the same. There was a thought that the Canon would have a better signal (e. g. My tests involved a larger range or more angles pointed at the camera), but we couldn't find any spots where the Canon worked and the AmazonBasics didn't. You need to point the remote at the front of the camera in order to use both remotes. Both remotes failed to work when viewed from the sides, behind, or in front of It may just be the setting or room I was in that made it impossible. Nevertheless, other reviewers reported they were able to do it. This function is The performance of both brands was the same in my experience. Option * ** The *br- The carrying cases that come with each are nice. The *br- There is only one option on the AmazonBasics and that's to delay the camera for a few seconds before taking the picture. The *br- One option allows a two-photo shoot while the other does a one-photo shoot A second photo takes a photo instantly, while a third is delayed by a second. The instant option appealed to me at first, but since the camera would not activate unless I pointed it at the camera (not behind my back, toward the ground, etc), I had no time to turn the remote off after setting it up. Therefore, I prefer the option of a couple seconds delay, which is available on both remotes. **ERGONOMIC AREAS ** The ergonomic factor played a big role in my choice, since the performance was the same between both options. It is pleasant to hold both of them, as both are small and comfortable. It is slimmer but wider, so finding it difficult to "hide" in my hand (I am a small girl with small hands) if I'm trying to take a candid photo. My final deciding factor was that I would It is cheaper if you purchase from AmazonBasics).

I have never seen it before! Where has this been my entire life? It has all the features I need and more! Wow, what a gift from the heavens
5/5

My DSLR camera is a Canon T5i. I'm very pleased with it. The vast majority of the time, when I'm taking pictures, I'm alone. Having a YouTube channel allows me to take photos of myself, and that is what I need to use for my beauty and lifestyle This is the link to the YouTube channel It is still too new to use it often for taking my own pictures. While trying to take my self-portrait using the 10 second timer, I was unable to get it to work. Therefore, I decided to look for a remote and luckily this one turned up. The fact that I found this remote helped me save some money since I was going to purchase a camera so that I could take selfies. It is essential to use your camera from a distance, so you should set it to remote mode. You need to remember that. The button that takes you to "Drive Mode" must be pressed on the T5i. The program allows you to select your shooting option, such as "single shot", "continuous shot", etc. The timer is "10 seconds remote. " YouTube video describing how to set it up, so you might want to search YouTube for it. In addition to the remote photos, I have included some pictures I took using the remote control. I can conceal it easily in my hand, and it's easy to use as well.

I have no problems with an Works with SL2, but not with SL3
4/5

I don't have SL2 and I'm unable to use this. I apologize for not researching, but the SL2 does not have an IR sensor and, due to this, can only be remotely activated with a wired remote, a Bluetooth remote or via Canon's Fortunately, I purchased it primarily for my Canon 80D, but the information provided on the product page is There is no remote drive mode on the SL2 Here's what it looks like A timer mode is solely for the purpose of running a timer. I will be happy to be corrected if I have done both the research and the manner of the analysis incorrectly. The answer on Amazon and bhphoto should be corrected if they are not. People might assume that since it's a Canon DSLR that there is IR built in because of its sleek, modern appearance. According to reports, it was one of the features that were omitted in order to fit as many features into such a small frame as possible. As for compatibility with compatible cameras, it works just fine. I intend to take portraits of children soon, so being able to trigger the shutter wirelessly without having to deal with Bluetooth, WiFi, and apps is a great help while adjusting and fixing things in front of the camera. Honestly, it would be better if it took a regular battery or a rechargeable battery. While I realize doing so would make it much larger, going that route would not be practical at all This is a reality that I can nitpick about. Except for that, it is a rather fragile little item due to its small size. Even though I imagine that simply sitting on this thing will break it instantly, I'm not going to test that theory. Despite being very overpriced, it's a great deal for what it is by nature -- any bigger or more solid would make it too heavy to slip into bags unnoticed. On the other hand, all Canon accessories are very overpriced. My rating is detracted due to the fact that I think this is a $12 item. In addition, it's price in relation to its build quality (and actually, its Battery compartments are annoying), NOT for the functioning of the battery.
