You can remove it if you wish.
This app can be used with a smartphone, not just my iPhone.
There will be an impact on that. On an iPhone, only using the remote will require you to install any specific apps. Taking photos/video using the Apple native camera app is all you need to do.
There is an Android button and an iOS button.

purchased it to replace my ring light, but it failed to turn on or even seem to work since I assumed it was dead. I replaced it with a new battery, although the blue light did not come on when I flipped it on and off.
Trash is what this is. As they advertise it, it's compatible with many current devices. Falsery is what lies are all about. The Bluetooth link on my Note 8 does not work. When the app does not work, it says to print it in small print that downloading another trash app with no work on is a completely unnecessary solution. Although I do not have a blind spot with hand held shutters, they did perform very well. After a few days, I should've re-do this. bought one of those for myself. Having wasted a long time and lesson, i just want to say thank you. This is how it is done at times.
Buy it! Yes! I agree. We can trust them with easy uses and long-term value. Originally, the remote I had was thrown out by my husband in a fit of rage. My worry was that this app wouldn't work, but it did, and that worked in less than two hours.
My specific intent was to place this in a ziplock bag so that I can use it for my phone's waterproof features while on vacation. At best, the device lasted just a few seconds in the thinnest ziplock bag; then the only thing it could do was do nothing. Despite being so weak, bluetooth is unable to penetrate any clear plastic bags at all. Useless.
Each time I tried to pair it with my S7, it didn't work. Even though it was reliable, you needed only a few feet to get the effect. Occasionally, the device would not even power up. A flicker of light flickered out from the power switch while it appeared that the battery was not functioning. It felt as if it would break apart. Returned promptly.
In my experience, it doesn't matter what Bluetooth setting you use. While I was at the house, I wanted to take pictures of birds on the deck. A signal wouldn't pass through the window and I shouldn't have been in that situation.
If possible, equip it with a tripod so that you can stand up straight. It's usually provided with them. You may have did, but I did not. The new one has to be bought. With Covid now in play, it was essential to have when on our New York trip. We did not want anyone to harm our phones so we avoided touching anyone.
My first remote was very successful, but this one failed to open the shutter. I suspect the battery was weak, but I'm not sure of its nature. I turned on a blue light and didn't get a picture on my iPhone until later.
