It took me less than 15 seconds to set up. Since the AAA batteries were so quick to insert, it actually took me longer to do it. I was able to use it immediately after inserting the adapter. Having a remote control for my Sony RX100 VI was a major consideration for me when I bought this item. The pros are There's no need to worry about it! Then I had to find a way to fire the shutter remotely after setting up my tripod and camera in my bow hatch. It's a game changer for me to have this wireless shutter release! My Nikon D7200 has a 10mm ultra wide angle lens that I use with it. Without this wireless shutter release, I would not have been able to take these photos.
