Questions & Answers

I want to purchase a hard case for this microphone what suggestions would you give me?

Additionally, I recently obtained the HPRC 2700 on which I intend to attach my MKE 600 microphone and Rode Blimp as well. $149 is the current price for the Black model. The following numbers are the dimensions of the interior 20 Approximately 65 inches by 18 inches The size of the picture is 11" by 8". A HPRC 2300 Blue/Yellow Model costs $69.07 as compared to the $37.07 model. The interior dimensions are 90 x 90 The size of the sheet is 0.00" x 9.00". The size of the paper is 0.6" x 5". 39" in length. The 2700 might be best if you need the extra space for something like a Blimp Windshield, but if you need it for just the Mic and some standard accessories such as the foam screen and mic holder that come with it, the 2300 should be fine.

The bracket and hot-link are included with this product Can you help me choose a shoe mount for my camera?

In contrast to the Senn MKE 600, which comes with no mounting bracket, it does include a shock mount that slides into a cold shoe mount and can be tightened. Cam operators have mixed feelings about the shock mount because of its low profile. Some say they use it most often, others say it KTek has mounts that might be of interest to you as well

Could you please tell me if it fits in the C100's microphone ?

My c100 mic pairing is held together with these rubber rings that I bought from Lowe's.

How do I use this on my iPhone X?

There is an XLR to Lightning Port adapter that you will need, and a battery must power the microphone.

For voiceover, this is excellent
5/5

A second update has been posted. The dates are September 2020 through September 2025 This article compares the MKE 600 to the MKE 6. Sennheiser MKH 416 recently received

I recently received a new Sennheiser MKH 416 microphone for my VO projects and can now compare the two in detail. My opinion is that despite the long and storied history of the 416, the MKE 600 is still the better microphone for voiceovers. There is just a smoother, more evenly-balanced tone with the 600, especially on the high end. Although the 416 has a big sound, it has a tendency to become boomy and sibilant quite easily. It does not have the same problem since the EQ curves are more forgiving in the 600. The MKE 600 is preferred over the 416 by most voices, unless they are working on a project or studio that specifically requires the Due to the battery option on the 600, I can also take my microphone out of the studio and use it to audition and read. The following update has been made Since November 2017, I have used my MKE 600 to record hundreds of voiceover jobs for several well-known companies Brands associated with the United States. I have been thrilled with the performance of this mic. It has been a while since I used the high-speed The microphone should be angled to the speaker so it will pass through the filter By performing this, plosives are controlled, while a fuller sound is produced. As long as I own the MKE 600, I'll continue to rely on it The voiceover microphone will remain in place for quite some time. This microphone went on sale for voiceovers so that I would have the original review to refer to. Although I have not found any reviews online for the MKE 600 for voiceover work, I figured I would give it a try since its big brother, the MKH 416, is well-known in the industry. My experience recording about a dozen demos with the MKE 600 led me to conclude it is the best microphone I have ever used for the spoken word. It appears to be very tightly picked up - it has good directional control and very good acoustics. Considering this is a shotgun mic, I thought it would be much less focused than it actually was. Is off-limits A very high level of noise rejection is achieved at the axis. Having previously used the MKE 600, I am very pleased with its response to frequency. It has a low voice and a boomy sound There is also the high-speed rail It works great to roll off boominess with a pass filter. Moreover, we found that the high frequency boost was located differently from what most condenser microphones have. One of the advantages of this mic is that it boosts around 7 KHz instead of 10 KHz, giving the sound a smoother and more natural quality. I recommend the MKE 600 to anyone looking for a good voiceover mic, particularly for those who may not be working in fully treated environments.

I think this is the best mic I have used so far! It's always a priority for me to improve the quality of my YouTube videos as a creator
5/5

I decided to put more emphasis on my audio skills since it has been one of my weak points in the past. Following a lengthy search on Amazon, reading hundreds of reviews, and reading Reddit posts, I decided to give the Rode VideoMic Pro a try. I made a mistake there. Despite its mobility, the mic isn't very good in terms of I immediately returned the old MKE400 and switched to the MKE600, which stood out from the rest! I have noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my videos, as well as the audio quality. Although I don't have the mobility with this mic (see setup below), that's fine as I'm not a vlogger or constantly on the move. I do use it with the Canon 70D, Zoom H4N, and a bit of a complicated setup, especially for YouTube videos, but I'm a perfectionist and the sound quality this beast puts out is excellent! If you choose to purchase this, make sure that it is compatible with your equipment. I have videos on YouTube where I have stood in front of the microphone, if you want to hear how the mic works, type my name on YouTube and watch the videos. The other videos made by me use a different microphone. In all the years I have filmed, this is the best mic I have used! PS

As well as the product, the packaging is amazing!.

I find this to be a great deal for the price
5/5

This mic is primarily used for recording with a Sony A6400. In addition to upgrading my sound, I use my camera in a variety of settings, such as video shoots, live streaming, and online courses. To be honest, I wanted a much better audio system, especially while speaking, and for the price this is great. My review of the included shockmount did not impress me. I ended up purchasing a $10 mount from Amazon to use with mic stands (I am a musician, so I have a lot of them around). A real plus is the fact that we can run it on phantom or battery power and additionally use a XLR In addition, my ultimate goal is to purchase a camcorder with XLR inputs and to eventually include a standalone external audio recorder in Despite changing gear over the years, my MKE600 will be in rotation for many years to come due to its xlr output. While I mostly use this mic indoors in a nontreated room where the reverb is pretty high (which is not ideal), the audio quality is always high and sound is always usable. Outside, the microphone sounds just as good (with a blimp, of course! It captures dialogue quite well when mounted overhead, and I have found it to be quite forgiving for such a directional microphone. Those searching for other microphones in this price range can clearly, and at least most likely, find this one to be highly recommended!.

My first thought was that it must have been In addition to owning one copy of this mic for over 10 years, I just bought another one
5/5

Especially if you have a good sound interface on your camera, such as a cine camera, it's perfect for on camera documentary sound. The first thing I did when I received the two microphones (one from 2010 and one from 2021) was to put them side by side and I thought it was According to Sennheiser, they have changed their logo to use a more standard typeface and they have slightly redesigned the stylized "S" shape, so I thought to myself, "For sure, this is an imported knockoff". This situation is not helped by the fact that the included literature still displays the old There is no "Made in Germany" sticker under the logo on the mic any longer.

It offers the most value for the money
5/5

While you can spend more, it may not be necessary for you to do so. A second purchase has just been made for me. On location shoots and in a talk show, I use them overhead. Getting the job done is their top priority. My favorite feature of these lights is that they can either be powered by phantom power or self-powered with a battery. It is also very quiet when using batteries, although it is just a little higher on them. If you are using the receiver on a set that has good ambient absorption, you can increase the distance from the source and hear very clean audio.
