However, this is an excellent microphone! All cameras that it is compatible with do not require power for the mic to work. Does not work with a Canon Vixia HF R800 camera. In either case, the seller offered to replace my item or refund my money. In the end, I decided to replace the mic with a brand new one. I love the customer service I received!.
