Approximately 6 inches by 6 inches by 3 feet was the size I remember. There should have been eight inches instead of six.
A camera with an audio input jack should be able to connect to the computer. Mounting to the camera is less of a priority for me than using the boom.
The setup is pretty reliable. I bought it about five months ago for my T5i and it's been working well. It is easy to set up and extremely light in weight. Although the sound quality is slightly better than 'good', I am used to using XLR input, so that might explain why I don't think that this is anything The purchase was a good one, however. It doesn't come with the the exact deadcat, but you can get one for much less money. The black one looks good. With an attached light, I can use the microphone a good 30ft away from me, but it comes with an extension for the audio jack, which has come in handy when I have an attached light? I find it difficult to judge. That's all I have to say. Good luck.
Without a doubt.

I make films in addition to acting in LA, and I frequently film auditions for myself as well as Despite the off camera person reading at a lower level, the microphone picks up their voice. At times I even have to lower the volume of the off camera reader as I edit. In the process of learning how to use this mic, I had some issues. It would sometimes make a high pitched noise beginning with and I thought that it was either a problem with my mic or a bad connection. There have been times when it had gone In view of my lack of formal training, I apologize for my inexperience with sound equipment. Having done a lot of researching online and trial and error, I came to realize the following. Migrating the mic away from the soft light kit so that it was not directly in front of it. It is best to keep the cord on the carpet and not on the hardwood. Be careful not to let the cable touch other cables or For me, this mic kit combines the best of both worlds, but you need to know where/how to place the microphone and cable to get the best audio results. (The stand is the weakest part of this kit. It works fine, but it is.
It seems to be a good stand. It's GARBAGE to use a mic cable! I've been using Rode mics since I was a kid. The one I was having trouble with did not disappoint once I had it under control. After chasing the item down for an hour, I found it An audio loss of 20 dB. I had a hard time understanding it. An extension cable for the mic was the problem. I bet there is a super thin wire inside. With all the gains turned up, I got a faint signal, but only a few seconds long. BOOM! It got removed and it worked! Four would have been the appropriate score The review received a 5 out of 5 star rating. I can easily knock two stars from this for wasting so much time and paying for a crap cable.
This mic kit was the first thing I got when I started learning about recording audio for films. It is only the Rode Videomic Go that I have a complaint about. Overall, this microphone is quite weak at the price range it is being sold at. My later purchase of a AT897 from Audio Technica for about 100 bucks more was a night and day difference. There was also one for recording audio for films that was a good entry level mic. In other words, both of them were little more than paperweights. There are certainly better alternatives available in the same price range if this microphone package were less expensive, but I think this review would be harsher if it were less expensive. If you prefer, you can use a lavalier like the Rode Smartlav to record far better Additionally, the microphone is not strong enough to pick up sound when mounted on a boom stand. If you are going to buy this mic, mount it on your camera instead. Therefore, the boom stand is superfluous, so it might just be best to stay away from this set. I wish you the best.
It came early and it's so high quality! A 9 volt battery was even included in the purchase from DVE store! It's funny how a funny gesture turns out to be such a nice gesture (see attached photo). I don't think it was much, but the gesture meant a lot to me. It's a great, simple way to add to my recent purchase of batteries of the same brand on Amazon. I'm very happy with this microphone! You can't go wrong with the boom stand! Perfect! Thank you so much. strongly recommend this shotgun mic to anyone who needs one and if you like to shoot outdoors, this package deal with the deadcat is a must-have!.
The unit I am using is awesome and I even put up a video about it on my YouTube There was everything I needed in the kit so I could get up and running. There is a switch on the back of the mic, which pads it from load noises while it works well. To use the battery, you will need to get a 9-volt Three different directions can be adjusted on the tripod/boom mic stand. The structure is also fairly strong, but the weight is quite light. The video can be seen on Utube if you search for "Free American Spirit. ". They packed it very well and shipped it on time. I like how it has a red banner with yellow letters spelling out "Boom there it is" The picture looks creative.
I do not recommend it. As a result, I stopped using it, since the sound has such a bad hiss that I cannot even EQ We have tested using the cord, mounting directly into the camera, and using the adaptor for a smartphone camera. All of them have terrible noise. The self noise of the microphone is very loud. Static is even worse when the cord is used. Using the customer service from this company when I wanted a new piece for my shoe mount was very pleasant. One of the old ones became stuck together (a second issue). The price of this mic appears to be very good, but if the quality is poor, you should not purchase it. It would appear that spending an extra $100 on a better mic was a much better idea in retrospect.
There are no major complaints, but you have to make sure there is no hum when recording with the camera by adjusting the sound settings. One of the biggest issues is that the db setting is hidden inside the battery compartment, and it is tiny. I have to deal with it all the time if I want to see what it sounds like.
The deadcat sounds pretty mediocre, but I don't notice much since I mostly shoot from indoors.
Using a 25 ft cable, the Canon camera is directly connected. held mike in place and showed no signs of losing tension. There are no tinny or echoey sounds in this track. When recording interviews indoors in a typical office environment, Mike is great. Only very minor adjustments were made to the audio in post-production. It was well worth the investment for us since we have a small production effort.
