Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me what deadcat fits this mic? I've searched through a lot of sources and found nothing. Anyone know if it comes with one, i saw someone say it comes with one but no one else has backed it up, can anyone help me out?

Thanks for your interest, the ASIN is The Pergear VideoMic Deadcat Windscreen, part number B0833ZVPQJ, is the product. Specifically for the Microphone Deity D3 and the This microphone is a Mic 2S.

Is it also possible to use this as a XLR-to-XLR interface with audio?

In the case of the Diety or Rode 3, you will receive a free Pod. If you have Excel, you can export it to XLS. The xlr does have a side benefit of converting to three. If you are using a camera or camcorder like the Canon Vixia series that can't turn on the microphone or doesn't have phantom power, you can connect it to a phantom power amplifier to provide turn on power to the microphone. When connecting to an XLR converter, you will only receive 3V turn on power, rather than 48V phantom Since the microphone does not require phantom power, it is protected from damage.

A 2 megapixel camera (Lumix GX8) is attached to my body. An input of 5mm is needed. When I purchase a 3, I will receive a 10% discount. The range is 5mm to 2mm. Do you think this 5mm cable will work?

I was able to use it with my two. The Fuji XT30 is a 5mm camera. My guess is that Deity will work with any Panasonic camera

Can you tell me the appropriate dead cat for this microphone? A reader had suggested WST120, but it appears to be too small, though I could be wrong. ?

I'll share the following data with you The length is 10 cm and the width is 19 cm

When it comes to price and performance, you can't beat the D3
4/5

In context of my review, I should note that the D3 is not my first microphone for YouTube videos. It's a tough call for me to choose between Rode's Video Mic Pro and Pro Plus and the affordable Movo. Using the Rode Video-I am able to move more freely and use it more efficiently The gear needed to link wirelessly. There is no doubt that the Deity D3 is one of the best budget sound cards you can get for your videos with decent sound quality. has a replaceable and easily obtained battery that makes mounting it on a boom pole a breeze. Using it for vlogging voice tracks is easy if you turn it to the rear or forward. I have considered returning the D3 for the D3 Pro to acquire the additional adjustments for a small price difference, but I prefer not to rely on rechargeable batteries.

The best alternative to the A camera mic is present, but not that We are having a day-long event - As soon as I have had a little more experience with it, I will update the review
3/5

In order to better appreciate where I'm coming from, I'm a professional sound mixer for TV and film. The art of handling a microphone and producing good sound is something I'm quite familiar with. As I said, I didn't expect too much for this price point. My decision to use Deity was influenced by the fact that I wanted to give their products a shot after just breaking into the mainstream, but I didn't want to invest too much Rode products are not my favorite in any way, shape, or form, I am looking for authentic Sennheiser microphones, and I did not want to spend $200 on a microphone I really wanted, the Sennheiser MKE400. I am an amateur videographer on the side, looking to do some short documentary work (on my own time), and wanted a small and light camera microphone to attach to my Canon Eos Rebel T3i to capture ambient sound embedded in the video file. The microphone I used does that. I tested this microphone indoors, with an air conditioner running. The mic was pointed at my mouth at about one foot of distance, and I tested it with the onboard microphone as a control. On a scale of 1-10, please describe what your perception of it is A 3 is my rating of the Deity, and a 2 is my rating of the onboard microphone. I wouldn't call that a big There is slight advantage in presence, a little more bass (low end), and a little more directionality with the Deity, but that is due to the fact that it is a supercardioid shotgun microphone, which is explicitly designed for this purpose. There was no way that the Deity or the onboard could have stopped the air conditioning sound. It does not matter which microphone you put on top of the camera, or whether it does this or not. My best guess is that the microphone in the camera body is some kind of cardioid, but I have no way to verify this. There is only one thing about this microphone I do not like at all, and that is the on/off switch. In this case, it seems to be capacitive touch, which I don't like. My preferred method of activating a push button is the tried and true one. Yet, despite all that, it is adequate for what I need it for. The windscreen is small, short, light, and more directional than the onboard screen. I appreciate that the windscreen is molded specifically to the shock mount, and I appreciate that it comes packaged with the shock mount. They even include a cleaning kit which is delightful. No, I wouldn't pick this as my choice for anything except a personal pet project, even if I decided to go the extra mile and experiment with It's LOG'ing time. The bar does not even come close to it. My decision regarding Deity products is still up in the air.

A high quality product is a good thing
4/5

Depending on whether it's connected or not. A recent update ) Pergear contacted me to resolve the issue, asking me to send It is so interesting that I have not been able to duplicate my original problem (a good sign), but I am still worried about lost audio (a bad sign), so I must simply remain All in all, I think this is a great mic that looks great on my camera and sounds great. The Ronin-X is what I use it with With the sliding design of the mount and the S gimbal, the mounting system helps balance the camera in a surprising way. Honestly, I could not be happier with this mic, and I am looking into getting ** - An initial review of the proposal is as follows (2. 0 Stars) I thought the mic had a chance to rival Rode, and I I'm finding that this mic's connection with my A7iii keeps dropping. A few minutes later, I'll realize that my microphone had just gone out without warning. There might be a problem with automatic transmissions Could there be an issue with the cable and the on/off feature is too aggressive? However, I still have lost audio that has lead to a lot of ruined footage. I appreciate your kindness,.

It's finally time for outdoor vloggers to have a small mic! In addition to these two other well known mics, I had a single mount point for these as well
5/5

It is true that these are great microphones, however, they are mounted on one shock mount and pick up movement that is audible under any environmental conditions. Those camera-powered mics are only cardioid, whereas the Deity is super cardioid, so it is possible for the Deity to be picked up from directly behind it. In spite of being powered by a single AAA battery, the mic automatically turns on and off along with the camera, making it Keeping two AAAs on hand is a good backup solution, since they don't take up much room. For my ear, the mic sounds a lot better than Rode and Movo. I used it for three days straight without getting any issues. I no longer feel the "thump" when I touch the camera aggressively, the profile fits my rig perfectly, and the adjustable cold shoe allows me to adjust the mic back and forth for the perfect fit, what's.

The mic is plugged into an XLR port on a Rodecaster and used as a webcam mic
5/5

It was originally a Rode VideoMicro Mic that I purchased. The sound did not meet my expectations. I was experiencing a lot of interference and white noise. It may have helped in some ways to purchase a shielded cable, After that, I saw that a transforming adapter was required for your application TRS to TRS Transforming Adapter) to make it work with phantom power from a mixing board. Got it. Not great, but still not bad. It was very difficult to make a good sound without overdoing the processing and noise gate setting. The idea of that didn't appeal to me. In the end I got the Deity and gave up. The shielded cable helped it connect to the adapter, and it sounds much better now. Just what you would expect from an open mic in an untreated room white noise, hums, and a normal sound pickup. importantly, it can be used as a boom mic during video conferences. This has been the best purchase I have ever made.
