In two weeks, I will be married outside. The ceremony will take place in a gazebo, and test shots revealed that adjusting for exposure would blow out the lovely background. I don't want to use an on-camera flash because it's a small gazebo with no room for stands. This clamp was ordered to mount a speedlight in the ceiling. br>br> I was blown away by the build quality when it arrived. It'll hold my speedlight just fine. I attached a small ball head to it and flashed it with a cold shoe. br>br>I tried it out on the site yesterday and it's exactly what I was looking for! I was able to perfectly balance the light using it in conjunction with my speedlight. I was so taken aback that I immediately placed a second order. br>br>When clamped to a flat surface, such as a 2x4, I like that there is an insert. I like that the clamp opens up wide enough to use on a 2x4 and that it can be easily removed for clamping to a round post. I'm confident that I'll be able to use it in a variety of creative ways in the future.
I'm always on the lookout for technology reviews on YouTube. When I decided I wanted to be a YouTube reviewer, I had to look into how YouTube table top videos (the ones where the products are on display and shot from above) were made. After seeing a few reviewers demonstrate their overhead camera rigs, I decided to make one out of PVC pipe, but I needed a sturdy way to hand my camera down from the PVC pipe. I tried using a tripod with bendable legs to wrap around the pipe, but any slight bump on the table would cause the camera to move, which isn't ideal when watching a video. Finally, I discovered the.
I've got a couple of these to use with my extension arms, and they're great. They're well-made, and I've had no problems with them so far. The handle makes clamping simple, and they stay in place. There haven't been any problems with them becoming loose. The push bolt to help secure the pin in place is a huge plus for me. Impact, you've done a fantastic job!.
Very strong clamp, capable of holding my Canon 7d with dual battery grip and Tamron 150-600mm lens securely. 600 lens. The brass mounting screw threads are too small to mount a standard gimbal or pistol head, so I deducted one star. I had to buy a dual male threaded 1/4 and 3/8 adapter separately, but it fit perfectly in the quick release slot. You'd have a solid 5 star product if it weren't for this one minor flaw.
These clamps are fantastic, and I highly recommend them. The only thing I don't like about it is how flimsy the 3/8 in male threaded bit on the bolt is, so don't overtighten it. It is going to fall apart. Otherwise, it's an excellent product that I've used for many years.
I own three of the original Manfrotto Super Clamps, which I adore for their solid, dependable construction. However, I recently ran into a problem with one when I needed to put it somewhere where it wouldn't be seen by non-technical people. It just didn't work out with the racheted handle. Work. br>br>So I went out shopping in a hurry and came across this Impact copy with a ratcheting handle. Close inspection reveals that it is an exact replica of the Manfrotto in every other way, including fit and function. I'll see if it improves with time, but for now, it's a winner.
"What did I buy from Amazon that's so heavy?" I wondered when the box arrived in the mail. " I opened the box and found this clamp, as well as a book I had ordered separately, in the package. This clamp is fantastic. br>br> It's built to last. It is well-made. The screws move in a very fluid motion. That is precisely what I was looking for. I can light it, and I wouldn't hesitate to mount my expensive Panasonic Lumix GH-series camera on it. This has four cameras on it, and it's clamped to a railing 11 stories up in my condo. It's a solid piece of equipment that clamps down firmly. Great product. br>br>I was looking at the more expensive Manfrotto clamp but couldn't find one that would ship to Hawaii for free, so I bought this one instead. I don't think the Manfrotto could possibly be any better.
This small clamp serves a variety of purposes for me, but the main reason I purchased it was to mount a microphone boom arm to a Manfrotto nano stand when I travel and film for clients. This small piece of equipment is an essential part of my travel kit because it allows me to do a variety of tasks that previously required c stands and other bulky, heavy equipment. This is made up of several modular parts that can be used to mount it on a table, a stand, a door, and more. I've also used it to mount LED lights in confined areas. It's built to last, well-engineered, and well-made. I would strongly suggest it.
