Questions & Answers

The ExpoDisc 2 will be compatible with the previous version. The 58mm lens on my Canon Rebel T2i works okay, but will I be able to use the 0?

In order to attach the Expodisc to the Lens, the user needs to hold it in front of the lens. There is only one size available at this time. purchased the first version, which is available in many sizes, but I bought only the 77mm size, which fits my 80-mm screen I use it for all my lenses because of its 200x zoom.

It works on a Canon 35mm 1 if I enlarge it. Does it have 4 lenses?

There is a problem, the screw won't fit- All you need to do is hold it over the

Are there any Nikon lenses available in 50mm and 85mm focal lengths?

In short, yes. Regardless of the lens on the camera, the Expo Disc will work. With both an 85mm and 55mm lens, you would benefit from getting a White Balance Filter (Neutral) Expo Disc 85 mm if you have one. A snap-on attachment will allow it to be mounted on an 85mm-lens Also, you can hand hold it over the lens of the 55mm - If your hand is not blocking the 55mm lens, you should be able to - Getting grey card exposure results right in the middle of an exposure is possible.

Is this compatible with 82 mm lenses?

Getting an ExpoDisc with a size that is at least as large as the largest lens you will be using will help you use it with more than one lens. As long as the ExpoDisc is larger than the camera lens, you can use it to cover a smaller lens, but if the ExpoDisc is smaller than the lens, then you cannot cover the entire lens with it. In addition to using an 82mm ExpoDisc, I have also used a 77mm lens. In the end, I knew I would be able to use the 77mm ExpoDisc if I got an extra

It does what it claims to do
4/5

This program does a good job when it comes to balancing whites. It is important to point the camera towards the primary light source when snapping photos, otherwise, you are likely to get some skewed colors. A good place to take a photo of your subject is from an angle where the subject is pointing towards the main A couple of challenges come up when there is more than one light source. Purchase the largest ExpoDisc to save your money. Once you have the correct exposure setting, place the clear white side of the clear plastic over the camera lens and take a picture. In order to capture the shot, you will need to switch to manual focus. You can then choose the photo taken with the ExpoDisc from your camera's settings and select white balancing. If you are having trouble getting the right white balance, you may have to experiment a bit. For your viewing pleasure, we have provided a comparison image.

I would not do it A great brain for all those who play shooting sports in gyms
5/5

In addition to that. Because I do a great deal of sports photography, I spend a great deal of time in poorly lit gyms or those with odd color casts caused by different types of lighting and the reflection of light It is not uncommon for me to set my WB at Auto and cross my fingers in the hopes of adjusting the color in post-production. We are no longer living in those days. There is no doubt that this product is the best in the market. My first week of use saved enough time at post to more than justify the purchase. White is no longer ivory or milky orange, but it is now WHITE. Besides setting your WB, there are other ways to do so. The task is accomplished quickly and efficiently with this approach.

A very convenient and accurate tool for color balancing
5/5

White-balance parameters are no longer framed by holding up a white card to my subject and framing it for custom white balance. Exactly what I was thinking of! There is one thing I recommend, but only one If you are like me, you set your camera to always display the current set exposure (e. In order to accurately read your ExpoDisc you may need to set your camera's viewfinder to follow how dark or light your exposure is just prior to pressing the shutter release). However, you may need to temporarily open up your ISO or aperture so your camera can read your ExpoDisc as well. When you try to set a custom white balance, you may receive an underexposure error otherwise. In the end, you will have to set your WB on your computer and then your exposure settings back to where they were. If you're like most people, you don't set your camera viewfinder display to follow your exposure settings, then you don't have to worry about this. It is possible to get lost in this. The term "follow your exposure settings" means that your viewfinder will darken and lighten according to the settings you select. In this case, I do not mean to mention the information that appears to be displayed like ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and so forth. It is more common to find this option in mirrorless digital SLR cameras, such as the Panasonic GH5 and Canon RP, but it can also be a problem if you pre-adjust the aperture Your iris will be mirrored in other places - When using a full-manual lens on a camera, you may not be using autofocus Control of the iris by the lens. I realize that it may sound complicated, but it is really a no-brainer and much more convenient.

There's no denying that the gray card still reigns supreme
3/5

In as much as I am an experienced photographer and video enthusiast, I have watched some YouTube videos and read about this product, so I decided to give it a try. I fully understand how it works, and how it should be My program is great when I study in the right light, but I haven't seen success when trying to use it under lower light conditions, outside during the day, or with a softbox and speed lights, which is strange. About half of the time, it works (getting the green screen on Sony A7III and reading of 3200), but when it does not work, I waste all of my time waiting for it to It is the only grey card that never lets me down, and it is reliable and always works. Also, it is virtually impossible to make the 77mm disc fit into my 77mm Sony 70-. . . The 200 F2 is the best. The plastic threads in the disc are only found in a few areas around the circumference, even with the 8 lens. Another issue is that you can't just cover the lens since it will probably leak light when you hold it perfectly and use the other hand to hold the camera or take a photo with the disc (I had the same problem with my Tamron 67mm lens). Also, it is very frustrating to have to remove the camera from the tripod when the lighting changes. It is just much easier to ask someone to hold a grey card for you or place one in front of the camera. may agree that if the materials and engineering were better, it might be a better product.

I would say it's okay for white balance, but not so great for The first time I heard about the expodisc was when I listened to one of Zack Andre's shows Getting the most out of Jody's Their advertisement made it out to be great for both white balance and light meters
4/5

It's main purpose is to calibrate the white balance of the cameras. I noticed in their marketing that light metering is mentioned as one of its uses, but in reality, this is simply It makes sense to me now after using it. The camera does a good job of balancing out the white balance, then. In comparison to automatic white balance, it definitely warms up a photo. According to my knowledge, white balance is something that is a matter of personal preference up until a certain point. The temperature is on the warm side of what is The photo is fine to me, although I do realize that some people prefer their pictures to be more on the cooler side. Although it comes with a warming portrait filter, I have not used The regular disc is already as warm as I would like it to be. That filter may allow the room to become too warm, so I think you shouldn't use it. This is where things tend to go wrong with light metering. It even made me contact customer service to make sure I was using it correctly. However, I notice that my pictures are consistently underexposed by one or two stops It is possible that I could use exposure compensation, but I really shouldn't. found that the meter reading from my camera actually worked better for me than the exposure that came from my flash. It seems like a grey card would be pretty accurate. It looks like I might be using this mainly as a tool for white balance, but I was hoping this could be an all-purpose.

Is this what I've been looking for my whole life? Initially, I was skeptical about the ExpoDisc when a fellow photographer talked to me about it, but holy crap, it's great
5/5

The goal I have set for myself this year is to improve my straight lines I'm out of- The ExpoDisc is the exact tool I'm looking for to handle my camera images. didn't take me long to figure out how to use it, and the difference between using it and using auto or one of the white balance presets is amazing. You can't go wrong with this camera. The colors are vibrant and the lighting is impeccable. I'm not sure how it works, but if you take professional portraits, this is a fantastic choice. This has been my most useful piece of gear in years and has been cheapest as well.
