Selected User Reviews For Sony PCKLM17 Screen Protect Semi-Hard Sheet for Sony Alpha A6000 (Black)
First and foremost, I must state that I have been using these semi-hard Sony screen protectors for several years. When I get my Sony camera, the first thing I do is set it up. It's semi-rigid and only has adhesive around the edges, so you can take it off and reapply it whenever you want. There's no need to be concerned about small air bubbles because the adhesive is only on the edges. br>br>In addition, this screen protector works flawlessly on the A6400, and the touch screen functions are unaffected. I had no problems using this on the protector on the A6300 and A6500.
It's a fantastic product that's incredibly simple to use. WARNING: DO NOT BEND! Because it's a semi-rigid screen protector, it'll lay flat on your screen. br>I'm on my second Sony RX-100 camera. There's no reason to buy anything else if you have a 100 ll and a Sony A6000. Even for a Sony accessory, it's reasonably priced. I've had good luck with Expert Shield as well, but the most recent one I tried on my A6000 was a letdown, so I went with the Sony screen saver instead. Apply after making sure your screen is spotless. Even when it was first applied, there were no bubbles. You won't even notice it's there if you get it on perfectly linear, which is how I do it. Begin with the upper right side corner and guide it down with your left hand's fingers for a straight line from top to bottom. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRUNCH IT! Allow it to rest for a while. Also, read the instructions! ) Wonderful item!.
There isn't a whole lot to say about the content- It's made of glass, it's tough, and it's scratch-resistant. tenacious br>br>However, for those who bought it for their a6500, it's a close second. a state of acceptance It's possible that a small section of the LCD's left side will be cut-off. If attached to the right edge too far, it will fall off. I can't complain because this product is designed for the A6000 and A6300. However, I changed it so that the screen protector is on the left-hand side of the screen. br>br>Another thing I've heard from reviewers- that it has a negative effect on the touch screen That is incorrect- The a6500's touch screen is notoriously buggy, and even with a screen protector, the responsiveness isn't great. This is perfectly fine for the a6500 as long as it is aligned to the left edge of the LCD.
[UPDATE]br>I purchased another for the A6500, and it fits perfectly. It doesn't appear to detract from the touch screen in any way, but I'm not sure how well the material will hold up to use as a touch screen. So far, everything has gone well. More photos have been added. br>br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review]br>[Original Review] br>br>It's well-made and cut to fit the A6300 perfectly. It's simple to put on and take off, and if you need to adjust it, it's simple to do so. Even though the A6300 doesn't have a touch screen, it feels good and doesn't make reading the screen any more difficult; once on, it shouldn't come off unless you want it to, and it will appear as if you don't have a screen protector at all. br>br>I almost gave it a lower star rating because the price, at around $15, is a little high for what you get, but given that it does the job, goes on easily, and looks good, I think it's still a 5 star product that I would easily recommend for the A6300.
br>br>It does exactly what it says on the tin. Before applying the protector, make sure the surface is completely clean. The product went on smoothly (I always use waffle-style products). weave Microfiber pile 80/20 GSM 350 GSM to clean with nylon/latex gloves to avoid introducing fingerprints/oils). br>br>The surface of the screen protector that adheres to the screen allows for placement modifications if you don't get it right the first time. br>br>After installation, it looks OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) but only to the point that it came that way.
It is well-fitting and has a factory-like appearance. The sensitivity of the touch screen appears to be adequate, but I rarely use it. However, seeing the screen outside is nearly impossible. It's just so constricting and aggravating - Always on the lookout for a shady spot to go over my shots and look at the menus. To be completely honest, I put it on so soon after I got the camera that I can't compare it to the screen without it, but I can't imagine it being any harder to see. Because trying to see it on my gimbal with my small screen is useless, I bought a monitor. br>br>If you're looking for any kind of fingerprint protection or deterrent, this isn't it. Right now, I'm looking at the screen, which is covered in fingerprints. br>br>I bought this to protect the screen, basically. I suppose it does that, but I'm sorry I bought it. Before purchasing anything on Amazon, I always read the reviews. This gets five out of five. I'm not sure why the glare issue hasn't gotten more attention in the reviews.
I've had no issues with these on the a6000 and a6300. Unfortunately, on the new a6400, it falls short. It fits and appears to be in good condition, but it dampens touch sensitivity excessively. When using the viewfinder and attempting to move the focus point by touch, one must repeatedly jab the screen to wake up the focus spot, then drag it to the desired location with some lag and jumpiness. It wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't plan on using the touch screen much. It was taken away from me.
I had purchased Sony's PCKLM15 for my a7R2 and was very pleased with the fit, quality, and durability of the screen. I've had it for a year and it hasn't been scuffed once. br> I was looking for the same solution for my a6500 but couldn't find it on Sony's website, B. H & Amazon. In April 2017, I contacted Sony Support, who responded, "With regard to your query, there is no hard/rigid screen protector available for the camera at this time. " I'm sorry to say that the PCKLM17 isn't compatible. The A6000 and A6300 cameras are the only ones that will fit. "br>br>What do you mean? On the a6500, I just installed the PCKLM17. It fits perfectly and, as far as I can tell, does not obstruct touch-screen functionality. Use of a computer screen. I'm perplexed as to why Sony does not believe it is compatible, given that it is their product; perhaps they believe it reduces touch sensitivity. sensitivity of the computer screen In any case, I'm relieved that the LCD is in good working order. The a7R2 is similarly protected.
