There are no bubbles in this picture. It's a lot nicer than the previous plastic cover. Touch functions work flawlessly, which is far superior to the plastic cover, which had developed scratches. If you remove an old cover, make sure you remove all of the old adhesive; I believe you will be very pleased if you have a camera that this cover is designed to fit. I am.
I bought it for my new G7X Mark III camera. I took a risk because I didn't know what I was getting myself into. When I ordered the camera, I discovered that there were no screen protectors specifically for the new model; however, the dimensions are nearly identical to the Mark 2, so I decided to take a chance. br>br>Many people have complained about how difficult the application process is, and they are correct; it takes more effort than usual to ensure that there are no bubbles and that the edges are properly secured. However, for the new model, it's a fantastic product. Until a specific protector for this new camera is released, this one will suffice.
TIPS:
1. TO CLEAR THE SCREEN COMPLETELY, USE A MICROFIBER CLOTHbr>2. GET DUST BY USING WEAKER TAPEbr>3. USE A CARD TO HELP PUSH OUT AIR BUBBLESbr>br>EASY TO APPLY. Only use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen, as it will remove all dust and streaks. The wipes will leave product and streaks behind, but they do the job. The sticker may leave adhesive behind, but you can simply wipe it away or go over it again with the sticker to remove it. Once the screen is in place, all it takes is a single tap to get it to glide on smoothly and bubble-free. I even removed it to better align it, and there were no issues:.
Because I always screw up things like this, I let my wife put it on. She was able to put it on without difficulty. It's almost undetectable once it's on. We would never have found it back if it hadn't been for the little tab on it, which I placed on the kitchen table as I prepared to apply it. With it installed, the camera's touch screen functions just as well as it did before.
The wipe and dry wipe provided do not do a very good job of getting a nice clean screen to prep for the protector; every time I wiped it seemed to leave a streak, and the "dust absorber" just seems to make the screen sticky since it is essentially a sticker. But, after about 30 minutes of trying to get the screen as clean and streak-free as possible, I finally put the screen protector on, and it fit perfectly. It was simple to remove the air bubbles, and you can tell it's a good, long-lasting protector that's barely noticeable when it's on. I love the protector, and it comes with three, so it's well worth the money.
I've used Akwox screen protectors on my Fuji, Panasonic, and Sony cameras, and they've always worked and fit perfectly, but the ones I got for my Canon G7X Mark III are larger than the actual LCD screen. Not happy about that; we'll see how long it lasts because it's partially on the LCD's plastic (look at the bottom of the screen in the photo).
Cleaning with wet and dry wipes left it clean but streaky, so I used my microfiber cloth to remove them and it was perfect. br>It bubbled as I was laying it down, so I had to pick at the bottom right corner and lift it up. While doing so, some of the adhesive was lifted, causing the corner to lift and not stay in place. However, when I used my nail to pull the adhesive outward, it flattened out again. It now has the teeny-tiny bubble that I imagined, but it's not bad. br>Excellent booklet packaging, with glass screen protectors that are individually wrapped. Once you've opened the booklet, you'll need to tape it shut. I just used the dust stickers that came with it.
It's simple to put on, and it gives me peace of mind that I won't scratch the screen on my Canon g7x mark ii.
