Yes! That's precisely what I did, and it worked flawlessly. Obviously, the fabric cannot be too thick to prevent light from passing through, but I used cotton and it worked perfectly.
I'm not sure what I'm saying. I'm not too familiar with various types of paper. It works with printer paper and my drawing journal, which is labeled 50lb on the front. Based on that, if I had to guess, the light might be able to pass through three 50lb papers, but tracing from one 140lb paper to another would most likely fail. But don't take it from me. Paper weight is something I'm not very familiar with.

This company has solved the port issues by adding an extension piece, which is amazing. I've tried many of these LED trim light boards from other companies (one just arrived and didn't work right away) and they all stop working after 12 or so times because the port is so fragile. They actually troubleshot their product, which is unfortunately becoming increasingly rare these days!.
Because the "special built-in filter" mentioned in the description blocks so much light, this item is useless - Inside the plastic is a black mask with only a few tiny holes through which light can pass. See the photo of a section of one corner in the gallery, which was taken at the "brightest" setting. br>br>I was really hoping to like this thing, so I contacted the manufacturer and received a pleasant "Thank you for your interest" - but no response to my question,br>br>I'm posting this here as a warning, as well as to see if anyone has any ideas on how to make it work.
It is necessary to bring your own USB plug. I like the lighttable a lot, but it has a few flaws. To use it, you must plug it in. It is not possible to charge and use it from a distance. After about a minute of warming up, it becomes brighter. Although it is LED, it does not produce the same level of brightness as traditional plug-in/regular bulb light tables. It also lacks a power outlet. It's a USB cable that you can use to charge your phone or connect to your computer. It really needs to have its own plug.
This arrived ahead of schedule and in excellent condition. It arrived in a tidy, well-organized box. The light box is small and light. It can be connected to a computer or plugged into a wall. The on/off switch is excellent because it only requires a light touch. There are three different types of lighting available. I've included some photos below (keep in mind that they were taken during the day, so the light isn't as bright as it appears). To show how much detail comes through, I used thicker paper and a more complex photo, but photos don't do it justice; it looks even better in person. As an artist, I used to ruin paper by overworking it or using graphite paper, which didn't always transfer well and left smudges all over the place. As a result, this light box has completely transformed my life. My only complaint is that the red piece is difficult to adhere to your paper, but if your papers are slipping off, some simple clips will keep them in place.
I just got my light box in the mail! I can't wait to put it to use! It came in excellent packaging, with clear instructions and a fantastic warranty. The link to the box is fantastic. The cord that comes out of the box is about 6 inches long. Clever design, lightweight, and I like the USB port connection to this light box; many times, this area is the source of a connection to the uni breaking down over time and usage. This aspect of the unit's design required some thought. There are three levels of light, and it works well. The unit is approximately 9 x 13 inches in size, is light weight, and well constructed, and has plenty of room for standard drawing papers. The red plastic paper holder bar that comes with this unit is a little difficult to use, but it works if you use two thin sheets of paper. I took advantage of a discount and a free pencil offer that this company offered on occasion. Years ago, when I was an art student, I used a metal light box, but this device is far better and easier to use, and it costs less.
The paper holder is almost useful: )5. I traced a lightly printed image onto Arches 140 cold press watercolor paper, which is 9x12 inches. On the lightbox, I used the high setting, but medium would have been adequate. Making a transfer is very simple. I'm excited to use it for large images where the original will be present, such as portraits. for tracing, half or quartered.
I'm using a personal light box for the first time. I was blown away by how light and portable it was. I'll be able to support it on a three-legged stool. Work on my 10-frame animation loop in the comfort of my ring binder. Because the light outside the frame I'm drawing is so intense (or white?) that it causes me eyestrain, I'm using an opaque barrier to block it. The issue has been resolved. I would highly recommend this product.
