This item is extremely thin and light, but the LEDs are extremely bright. The surface has a glassy feel to it, similar to that of a glass cutting board, and is thick and sturdy enough that you can draw or trace on it with normal pressure without fear of it cracking. I tried tracing a doodle from plain printer paper to thicker water color paper (both stacked on top of each other), and the doodle came out perfectly. This eliminates the need for charcoal or transfer paper, and the included magnets keep your work in place very well. br>br>It's worth noting that the surface did not get hot even after a long period of use (1hr). The dimmable feature is simple to operate; simply tap, tap, tap until you reach your desired brightness level. The product is ready to use right out of the box, so you can start doodling right away! I'll be honest with you and say that the seller approached me about making this purchase. A light box is also something I already have. This is an excellent item. I like how the entire top is magnetic, allowing you to place your paper wherever you want on the screen. Because it is bright, you can clearly see through the paper. If you prefer, you can easily dim the light. It is extremely light. The only criticism I have is that only two magnets are included, when I would have preferred four.

During my lessons, my students use this tracing box for their own art work. br>After trying a few others, I've discovered that this one is the brightest. Which is, in my opinion, the most important factor to consider when purchasing a tracing box. br>During the day, I usually have to close my windows or turn off the lights to get a better definition on the piece I'm tracing. There's no need for that with this box! You can use it in the middle of the day or with your light turned on, and you'll be able to clearly see your reference image. br>I like how it has a couple of magnets on it to keep your paper in place. br>It's light while still feeling sturdy, which is important to me because it keeps my youngest students safe!.

You're looking for this one. In exchange for an unbiased review, the company provided me with this light pad. This review is based on my own personal experiences and opinions. br>br>I have a light pad that is similar to this and cost around $18, which is about the same as this one. Although the price is essentially the same, this one is unquestionably newer and better. I use it in a variety of ways as an artist. One option is to print my drawing on high-quality cotton paper and paint it with watercolors. I can easily trace my image without damaging my paper in this manner. Two photos of an image that came with the light pad are included in this post. The first is made with 140 lb cotton cold press Bee paper, and the second is made with 300 lb cotton cold press Arches paper (some of the thickest paper available). The quality of the images is excellent. Another point to consider. It's made of magnets! Those magnets have a tremendous amount of force. They cradled the original image as well as the 300 pound cotton paper. This is a game-changer for me. It's no longer necessary to tape the paper to the glass; instead, simply snap those magnets on and get the job done. If I had to criticize the manufacturer for anything, it would be the fact that there were only two magnets instead of four. I've also included some photos of stained glass that has been layered over a pattern of glass. This light pad is ideal for tracing patterns directly onto glass with a sharpie pen for smaller pieces. The red glass is semi-transparent, whereas the blue glass is opaque. Even on the opaque blue, the pattern stands out beautifully. I'm going to keep this light pad and donate my old one because it's so versatile. Although the majority of these light pads have similar prices, there are some differences in quality and features. It's incredibly light. It is powered by a USB cable. The dining table is enormous, and the light is distributed evenly throughout the room. It is also magnetic, allowing you to share your layered sheets on its surface. My daughter uses it to practice drawing by copying drawings and cartoons. It's part of a professional digital workflow that I use. On paper, I can scribble and fine-tune ideas. Then I'll be able to put them together and ink them on this lightbox. They can then be scanned into Illustrator and colorized after being converted to vectors. br>br>Despite the fact that I can draw on a Wacom tablet, nothing compares to traditional media. It's difficult to refine ideas quickly on paper because light tables are no longer a studio staple in the digital era. This lightbox is a godsend, and it's worth its weight in gold for allowing you to have that flexibility without having to invest in a large custom piece of furniture that you'll only use once in a while. br>br>Alternatively, simply purchase it for the kids!.

This lightbox appeals to me a great deal. It becomes extremely bright, allowing you to see through light fabrics and cross-sections. Stitch patterns with ease. For this cherry design, I actually reduced the brightness a bit. (As you can see in my video, I appreciate having two magnets. ) They're powerful, but because I work with small designs with multiple layers, I'd prefer four magnets. This light pad does not accept regular kitchen magnets. The two magnets that come with the package are particularly powerful. I've only used it for Diamond Art Designs so far, but I can see how it could be useful for other things. For what I do, I also use an easel, which works perfectly for me. I have another light box that doesn't have the magnets, so if you have a choice, I'd go with this one. You may not require them on a regular basis, but when you do, they are useful.
