Yes, there is a USB port on this light box that you can use to connect it to your computer.
Place the image you want to trace on the light pad, then cover it with a blank A4 piece of paper. Turn on the light board by pressing the switch on the left side, adjust the brightness as needed, and then start tracing.
It appears to be a simple USB cable to me. Search for one on eBay or Amazon.
It's not five levels of white light; it's five levels of white light.

I really like this light box, and I tried to include photos of the three different light variations, but they are difficult to see. I demonstrated how to see through a piece of watercolor paper and drawing paper, as well as two pieces of drawing paper, to trace your sketch or redo a piece. It must be plugged in using the provided USB cord; however, if you want to use it as a wall plug rather than a portable charger or computer, you will need a wall plug. I didn't have a problem with this because I already had one and kept it plugged in on my desk. It's simple to use, light but sturdy, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. This is fantastic, particularly considering the price!.
It's fantastic for vinyl weeding because it saves so much time. It's small and portable, and the three brightness settings are excellent. I believe I am correct. I'm left-handed, so I usually rest my left hand on the power button, and like others, I've noticed that it frequently turns off. I flipped the screen over and have only had a couple of turns since then. So far, it's been a success, though I agree that it might have worked better in a different setting. I haven't tried it for tracing yet, but I can see how it could be useful. I use it for weeding, and using the two included magnets, I can see exactly where to cut the transfer tape by laying it over my decal. It's also useful for tracing embroidery and cross-stitch patterns, as well as unpicking small stitches. It would also be more convenient if you could stitch. Unless it stops working in the next few weeks, I have to give this a big thumbs up; I'm having a lot of fun with it, and the low price was definitely an incentive to give it a shot. Pick one up and give it a try; I think you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I had a 2amp adapter in my box of old power plugs, so that wasn't an issue for me, but I imagine that using a 1 amp adapter will reduce the brightness.
I'm scanning in my photo collection and going through the negatives to see what I have and don't have, as well as making sure the photos are in the correct order. This 'item' popped up when I was looking for something to 'backlight' the negatives. a result of an Amazon search br>br>I looked at a few different units before settling on this one, primarily due to the positive reviews and low price. It arrived quickly and appears to be fairly sturdy. br>br>As you can see, I have it mounted on a document stand, and it works perfectly. br>br>The only 'drawbacks' I can think of are: One of the magnetic pins is nearly useless; it will not hold on any incline, and I agree with others: The intensity/power button is far too sensitive. It changes just by brushing against it. It doesn't bother me much because I have the button at the top.
This light box is extremely portable and lightweight. There are three brightness levels, and I found it to be very useful. The only disadvantage is that the on/off/brightness button is right where I put my left hand, causing me to change the settings frequently. I could move the button to the right side of the pad, but that would put the power cord in the way. That problem could be solved if the power button was moved to the top of the pad. Overall, the pad did exactly what it was supposed to do, and the price was reasonable.
I experimented with a number of high-priced light boxes. I wish I had gotten this one first, but I'm glad I decided on it in the end. I don't take it very often, so I'm not sure how it would handle being carried around, but it's nice to be able to take it away from my art table and use it elsewhere now and then. [I purchased this product on my own and was then paid to write a review, and I would never give a false rating. ].
The only thing I would change is the power button's location. When I was tracing a picture, I accidentally turned it off a few times. While tracing, the power button is a natural place to rest your hand. I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity. The cost is also very reasonable.
