I honestly have no idea. The charger bears no indication of this. Your battery will only receive a trickle charge at this point. Expect it to take a long time to charge, but it does a good job of topping off my trolling motor battery after a day on the lake. It's ready the next day after you plug it in at night.
When I first used mine, I had the same problem, and I vaguely recall that it didn't charge until I switched the clamps to the other "terminals" (not sure if that's the correct terminology). Hopefully, this has been helpful.
The other leads are simply clipped on to the terminals.

You can't keep it in your boat permanently. It works as long as the battery is plugged into the charger last, which is not only dangerous but also prevents the battery from being permanently installed.
We use . This is our second time owning one. This is used to charge our boat in a trickle fashion. Without a doubt, this was the first charger we looked for when we upgraded to a larger boat and needed a new charger. A long-lasting product of high quality.
For my marine battery, this was the only compact version of this type of charger I could find. This was a great find, and it was exactly what I was looking for for my kayak battery.
I'm not sure if it's working because the light stays red!.
On my boat battery, it performed as expected.
I'm very happy with my purchase.
I would purchase from this seller again.
The first charger I received was defective, but Amazon replaced it quickly and painlessly. I use the charger to keep the charge on my trolling motor battery up to date, and it works perfectly. This is a trickle charger, so it won't charge quickly, but I expected that. This product meets my expectations.
