No, the charged battery must be connected to the camcorder in order for it to work, and it must also be connected to the charger in order for it to charge.

The product is functional, but it isn't exactly what I was looking for

It arrived on time and functions well, but it was not what I expected. I had assumed that the charger would come with an A/C cable for connecting the camera to the computer, but it turns out that it simply plugs into the wall. Because I already have a wall charger exactly like this one and need the one with a separate A/C cord (this one DOES NOT come with the A/C cord needed to connect the camera to the computer), I would have appreciated it if it had been specified in the product description.

For the money, it's a good deal

Battery pack powered up the camera (psv-1) and was delivered on time. br>br> gs 39) worked fine, and the charger appeared to be functional as well. br>br>I docked one star because the battery appears to be a little larger than the original, and the connection isn't as secure as I'd like. Will definitely recommend. br>br>.

Definitely of poor quality

This is the second one I've purchased, and both chargers are incompatible with the battery. The four prongs on the batteries aren't perfectly aligned with the charger. Definitely of poor quality!.
