Is it an old tape? Are you unhappy with your Is the storage facility in poor condition? Would you please tell me whether these tapes were manufactured in a good condition or if they were stored properly
3/5

Those tapes were ordered by me on December 3rd. These tapes were purchased to replace ones that had degraded after many recordings and reuses In finding that I only had one new tape left, I resorted to poor recording conditions so that the video and sound quality suffered. In the past, which is why I ordered these tapes, I have found them to be of good quality and reliable. Nevertheless, I cleaned the heads on all VCRs in our house before using any tapes from this manufacturer. In the time since my VCRs were cleaned, no dust has collected on the old tapes. It may have been that the first tape had some quality issues with the recording in terms of picture quality (the picture was grainy) but I was busy, and it was not important enough to quibble over for recordings that I would view once later and then record over. Although the recording quality on the first tape remained stable over time (although still grainy), subsequent recordings preserved its quality. In the end, I failed to test the remaining tapes as soon as possible. My immediate response if I had had these in stock was to have them returned or asked for replacement in the hope that the next batch would be better, newer, stored in a cooler place, or from another manufacturing lot, whichever the cause might be. In the process of using two tapes that had more problems than the first, I took a untouched tape from this purchase to a second VCR to record and play back. I have now listened to 5 of the 10 tapes that were purchased and, except for the first, have all found significant issues with recording and playing back. It's a bit of a mixed bag in terms of sound quality and there are enough video issues that the autoplay ceases to work Despite the worst tape I have yet to watch, my VCR continuously attempted to adjust track. I am a little nervous about recording something I want to watch on the five remaining tapes since I was able to unwrap the worst tape. So, they are waiting for me to have a few hours to test them (and the inclination to do so). Having listened to all the recorded material today, the extremely unusable tape in question went in the trash. Although I could not see or hear the video and sound, I could at least feel out what was going on through brief bits of audio and video. same reason I sat down to write this review is that the tape I used most recently was of such poor quality. The tape I had that had been tossed into the trash as soon as I had seen it was remembered at some point before I tried the tape I still had from the lot that I had previously bought. I remember it so clearly. It was back then that Sam's Club still carried blank VHS tapes in all their stores since I last bought them there. ) I used the previously purchased "new" tape as a sort of control for my tests of the technique. You must bear in mind that the problem isn't that my machines need to be cleaned. In order to unwrap any of the new tapes, I cleaned the drums and heads. Surely there lies an explanation other than my head cleaner causing damage or the heads being fragged by my four? I bought tapes in December that are about a year old (but newly opened) but have no quality issues. The problem is the whole lot of tapes that I have. Buying this product could spell hassle and I advise you to think about my experiences if you purchase it. If possible, test each cassette as soon as you receive it so you can return/exchange any cassettes that are of poor quality or not up to specs. Otherwise, you will be stuck with an assortment of old/poor quality tapes because you deemed the first one tolerable. So far, I haven't attempted to buy any It is not until I have reviewed the other 5 that I will make a decision. Maybe the rest of the lot is prime as well. There is a chance of it happening!.

As a result of The quality of recorded tapes is terrible A fuzzy feeling
3/5

In my review of blank TDK tapes, I was favorable, but before I rewound them, I noticed some defects Overwrite them with an audio record. As a result of The quality of recorded tapes is terrible There are fuzzy, wavy sections, striated lines, and skips. Here is what I would like to say With good results, we recorded these files over old Sony and BASF tapes, as well as old TDK STD (superior tape durability). There is no way to count on these unused TDK tapes for more than one tape. In addition to running the tapes at FF and reverse, several different VCR recorders were used. The heads were cleaned after each recording session. My next order of these won't be this one.

Exercise the tape before using it
5/5

It is a great tape. In 14 years of using TDK and another brand, I continue to use them. My old tapes lost whatever is on them that affects tracking, and the picture was rolling and loosing sync. I had to order some new tapes after I realized that the old tapes had no more tracking information. The first thing I do with a batch of new tapes is to fast forward each one to the end and rewind it to the start before I record on them. These tapes have been in storage for who knows how long, so this exercise seems to be helpful. It is the only cassette I have ever had that I have not liked. In addition to these, we recently purchased 6 CDs from a different manufacturer from Amazon. We have been recording for 14 years on 30 or so cassettes. Our Panasonic and Sony VCRs can play these tapes. Every 3 to 4 months, we wash our heads with wet cleaning products.

It takes six hours to watch the You do not need to get the Maxwell video tapes with a duration of 9 or 8 hours, since they work perfectly for what I need to record
5/5

I also thought I'd save time by recording on more tape and have more tape ready to go. The resulting recordings were less clear and more scratchy. My guess is that the tapes have been played or damaged in some way. You can then repackage the product and resell it as To get the Maxwell tapes with 9 or 8 hours of content would be a substantial waste of money. Whenever you record, always opt for TDK 6 hour tapes. There's no doubt that this place is worth the money.

I found the tapes to be of poor quality
3/5

Ten dollars were spent on my purchases I bought my first TDK tapes in April, 2005. Below the boxes are the following It comes from TDK" - QUALITY IS SUPERIOR This is the standard T-shirt Measured from the center of the corner to the corner Standard Grade VHS is available in many formats Tapes intended to be used in a daily or repeated fashion. It has taken me a while to figure out the tapes that work because they have grainy and distorted movies and the colors are drab and the sound is horrible. As far as Amazon's standards go, the packaging was inadequate. There was no packaging or protection for the video tapes inside of the box, and this probably explains why I have at least one broken tape (plastic broke off the cassette). It was not protected in any way by the box. This video tape has disappointed me a great deal. No idea whether "TDK" is going down the tubes or if all the big name brands have been It was the first time in a few years that I purchased new VHS tapes, and they exhibited the same low quality as generic no-name brand tapes would. The company I usually work with doesn't sell video tapes at the moment, so I had to order them from another company. The other brands I've tried aren't lowering their standards either, so I'll need to try some others to see if TDK's standard tape is the only one. I plan to go back to some Maxell and RCA standard tapes and hope for better results.

I have found some good VCR tapes at a reasonable price
5/5

Considering how expensive Tivo is, people still use VCRs to record simple shows, not Tivo. VCR tapes are difficult to find locally, so I was pleased to find good quality tapes here. They have produced good quality recordings and have allowed me to reuse them. In the near future, I plan to stock up on more!.

It's OK in some cases, but not in others
3/5

In terms of quality, the price was fine, but the price varied. There were two 10-packs in my order It appeared that some tapes and packs were fine while others were defective. It seemed that they weren't packaged so that they could be identified. The tapes did not come in packs, but rather in a box of loose tapes. It takes some time before I work through all of them, as I have already thrown out two (and missed the programs I had taped on them). It was definitely a letdown. I usually enjoy using Amazon, and I will continue to do so, but this purchase was definitely disappointing. This would have been my last term, if it had been my first term. Fortunately, it was not a high-pressure situation An item with a dollar value. I would say it's a good time to get a DVD recorder and to beware of buyer beware!.
