With that camera you should be able to use it without any problems.
Despite my concerns, I have not encountered any problems since I bought it for my Sony Handycam/video Hi8 camera. In fact, it looks like a cassette tape, as well as saying "Sony Hi8 MP" on the side.

Suitable for my Sony Digital8 camera that is eight years old, these tapes provide a good basic recording capability. At least a few years from now, I hope they will continue to make these tapes. Wouldn't it be better to get a good video camera with all the features I need to transfer it to DVD with my older camera instead of a new one? The price I got on Amazon was decent. I got the tape one at a time. However, it still works out cheaper than a trip to Best Buy because I can buy them one at a time. I am able to have them come.
It worked well with the camcorder I had on this set and it recorded lots of footage.
I lost all the tapes I brought with me while on vacation. It was a delight to still be able to get these good quality tapes for continuing to record.
I have a teenage daughter- "It's interesting to see how the pioneers did it," says my son as he uses old equipment. He gave his stamp of approval to these Sony Hi8 HMP tapes. Sony used to be SONY in the days when it was still Sony.
The adapter is compatible with my camera so that I could make I love it.
This recorder records video and audio without a problem.
The product works as advertised, but at a very high price.
The store no longer stocks these, so I was very excited to finally find them. They were really affordable as well!.
