In addition to covering TV equipment with this fabric, I also used it to conceal wires. To build my own sound bar beneath my television, I built a platform under my You are basically hiding different channels of speakers (right, left, and It was an eye sore to the wife to listen to the speakers. The IR receiver on my home made sound bar is not located within the confines of the sound bar, so I believe you shouldn't have any problems. As long as your IR receiver is close to the fabric on the inside, you should be able to use it, as the fabric is thin enough to allow airflow.
This is DDSHppr sewed nothing to cover a speaker box I made. Instead, I used a stapler to cover it. As a result, would say that sewing will not be an issue. My impression is that the fabric would hold a stitch with no problem. Item no. ken010107
In fact, yes. There should be enough so that it can be stretched very tightly. My goal was to have a thin fabric, so I selected this one. During the buildout of the theater room, I made the equipment cabinet doors out of glass. By using a cloth instead of a glass, I was able to better circulate the air. During the daytime, the display on my receiver and amplifier can be seen when the lights are off and the amp is turned A wireless IR remote works through the cloth as well.

As for the black cloth, it seemed to be of good quality, and there was plenty for the purpose I needed. My NHT SuperOne grills became one color as a result of using it. Pulling gently on the edges of the white cloth, I removed it by prying off the little NHT logo and then prying off the little NHT logo. The only way it was secured was with some kind of glue, so it came off very Attaching the black cloth with a hot glue gun was simple because I cut it just a bit larger than the grill. A small slot in the grill allowed me to use a flat blade for cutting While the glue was still hot, I pushed a little bit of cloth into the slot using a flat head screwdriver. The result of this was that the cloth was a little stretched. I still left most of the speaker white, but with them inside my entertainment center, a black grill is all that is needed to make them less noticeable.
Probably the strongest and lightest speaker cloth on the market. It is not backed with foam.
A display cabinet or entertainment center with an open compartment on top would be an ideal opportunity to conceal your surround system speakers. The cloth hides all speakers from view. The following update has been made. I finally have my project done, and I think it looks (or doesn't look) awesome, so sounds good. What's the location?.
I am very satisfied with the material- To fill in areas of a built-in niche, I fashioned a speaker type cover to fit on top and below the flatscreen tv. There are no distracting empty spaces on the wall now, so it looks like a movie theater. It was decided to double the material since there was a chance that backlighting would occur from underneath the component stand where the Materials are great over all - I'm very satisfied with them I would recommend it to anyone.
It doesn't come close to taking away from the fact that these speakers looked significantly better than 25 year old ones.
The method worked just fine for me, even though I am not a seamstress.
My Infinity speakers were damaged by damaged speaker cloth, so I used this to replace them. I have no complaints about how it worked.
