For the solution to evaporate and release fats (fingerprints) and dust, you'll need some alcohol, but I'm not sure how much alcohol there is by volume. To be honest, I only use a dry brush now that I've cleaned my records with the solution once. They are no longer in need of a fluid.

I've been collecting records for a long time, and most of them are used and dusty when I buy them, so this product is a must for me. A 1 is included in the kit. A 25-ounce bottle of record cleaning fluid and a soft fiber brush measuring 5" x 1 1/4" I like that a mini brush is included in the brush handle to help you wipe the dust off the main brush to keep it clean and prevent it from transferring dust from record to record. I like that this is included because it really does keep the main brush looking new even after many uses, and I like that I can store that mini brush within the handle so it doesn't get lost. I also like that the main brush has a plastic cover for the fibers so that when the brush isn't in use, it's protected br>br>The best way to use the kit is to place the record on your turntable, turn it on, and glide the dry brush over the record for a few revolutions; Clean the dust off the main brush with the mini brush, then do the same on the other side. 6 drops across the edge of the brush, tilted at an angle so the wet and dry sides of the brush are visible, and spin for a few revolutions Once the dust has been removed, dry the record by brushing it with the dry side of the brush and spinning it a few times. br>br>The kit is extremely simple to use and performs admirably whether the brush is used dry or with the fluid. I can easily recommend this product, especially for the price. The velvet on the brush fits and sticks in the grooves of the record, and I use a liberal amount of my own cleaning solution to brush it back and forth with the groove. Because the brush will not move against or perpendicular to the groove, you can feel it sitting in the grooves. The cleaning solution is then sucked off the record using a vacuum with a special felt-covered attachment, and the process is repeated with only distilled water. The records are in excellent condition! Cleaning records with this method is probably the cheapest and most effective.
