During a surge, it is not the box that requires replacement, but the surge protection module that is inside. In order to get a replacement part, you can contact Hughes directly or visit their website.
Yes, this works with both 50 amp and 30 amp cords, like you said, you can buy an adapter to convert them to 30 amps and they also make a 120 volt adapter. I purchased mine from Amazon. Wishing you the best of luck
Powered Watchdog portable units feature an IP65 rating, making them suitable As a result, it is unlikely that there will be problems with rain and snow. Depending on how it monitors your power usage, it will automatically cut it off if the power spikes, or if it gets low, or if you get a surge on it, and then turn it back on after some

There are countless surge protectors out there, but its Bluetooth functionality and EPO stand out among the rest. Most others tell you if there is a problem if you look at it, but they don't shut you off if the situation is dangerous. As long as you replace only the board, and not the whole device, in case of a bad surge that knocks out your device, I like it. It used to be possible to monitor my connection with a DVOM before connecting, but I didn't have any means to do so once connected. that I've connected the watch dog, it's up to it to keep an eye on things. It arrived quickly, was well packaged, and the directions were easy to follow. It would be a great gift for anyone and I would definitely buy it.
The surge protector that we needed for our Class A Tiffin had an auto shutoff capability and rated 50 amps. The one we chose was based on our research. I like that the dog's face lights when all is well. It's great, does the job, and I like how it's easy to remove. In case of a power surge, it will shut off immediately, and if the power is too low, it will shut off. A lot of damage can be done to an RV's appliances because of this as well. I would also like to mention our experience, when we accidentally bought the RV model you install, we received fantastic customer service. The one we sent back was easily returned and we received.
As well as this, the dog's face on the front of the protector stays lit up at night, providing a path light for evening walks. I wish you an enjoyable camping trip!.
Surge protectors have been leaking and then blowing up in my past. Reviewers told me this one was the best of several surge protectors. The blue tooth connection and EPO set this one apart. The red face lets you know an error has occurred. If the error message has a code, you will need a User Guide or App to understand the meaning. This is the case with most other surge protectors! There is a section under Help and Initial Settings on the app where you can find the Error Codes. According to my own opinion, the section entitled User Guide should have been called Initial Setup instead of User Guide since there is more information under this section than just the basic Your surge protector is usually damaged during the process of protecting your rig from large surges, and has to be replaced as a result. There is one exception to this rule, Hughes Autoformers PWD50 The EPO surge protector has an excellent feature in that it can be repaired by replacing the board for $33, in contrast with having to buy a I like the fact that you can lock the surge protector on your rig when you're not using it, as it's expensive to leave unsecured when you're not using If I had to choose between buying this product again and recommending it, I would choose this one.
My phone's Bluetooth connection is great, and I love the app. That's a nice display of how much power we're using and what the status of the park electricity is.
It's worked well for me on my RV with a 50 amp cord the only issue I have encountered is that the Bluetooth range is fairly short. The app is slightly buggy in that at times it pops up a warning when you have lost power when you actually just lost connectivity. It's important to keep in mind that most parks don't have a problem with power spikes or overvoltage this is why most of these units are constructed for it. Additionally, this unit is equipped with an emergency power shutoff feature in the event that the voltage falls too The threat associated with low voltage is considerably greater than spikes, since low voltage occurs more frequently. Older RV parks are more likely to have this issue. RV electronics are burned out when they encounter low voltage, which causes warm wires, melted plugs, and melted plug covers.
It would be great if it were portable.
You can connect your Smart Home system using blue tooth to see how many hours have been used, amp draw, etc. The only downside is that it requires you to be home to use. As part of my purchase, I wanted to monitor possible power outages and issues at work as well. As soon as you are 200 pounds or more If you are more than a few feet away from this unit, it can no longer be seen by your device. This defeats the purpose of monitoring issues while you are This meter has a dog on the face, and the face lights up at night. This is a nice feature, but the light around the meter is so bright that it illuminates the entire area around it. The one we see is too bright. Except for these two, there are two other options.
