Due to the Belkin name, the build robustness and their ability to be securely mounted, I decided to purchase eight of these power strips. A overload kills the robustness of the unit, leaving it to start dying or failing to function. The power strips I have lost so far have half of the capacity. To replace all of them, I plan to look elsewhere As I said above, if it is a defect in one unit, I would contact the company Unfortunately, there are so many bad units that the story isn't as simple as that.
I would have found this very useful if I had needed it This is however not the case In response to this horrific incident, The reason for this power strip producing such a horrendous amount of VOC/off-gas is a mystery to me A gassing sounds. I disagree with you, but There is simply no way for me to The strip is very well built. Although it is stated in the description that it includes a flat plug, the plug is actually standard. On the off-day The fumes made me sick - gassing is extreme and causes me to become I have MCS/CIRS and am incredibly sensitive to chemicals and VOCs, leading to sore throats, pounding heads, and nausea. I am unable to do it.
I chose it because the metal body seems to be of high quality and I like the fact that it is a surge protector. Though I would like the back to be metal as well, three sides are better than none. It's the mounting holes on the back of the device that really detract from its usability for me. Apparently, it takes someone incredibly talented to line up those four screws exactly so they fit the small holes without any room for error, but I'm not that person. A paper template, a ruler, and a level were used to cut out the holes. I don't know. As a result, we used just two screws along one side which is a waste of time, but four would have been nice. But this is where it gets really interesting These stupid back mounting slots are the only thing below and above the cameras. In an ideal world, they would have just drilled all the way through the case body to make it easy to mount. Those small holes on the back mounting slots must be incredibly difficult to line up with four screws. I wish I had designed them to allow us to line them up with four screws for eternity. It's super annoying how little thought was put into the design process - An effort on a reasonably important feature in what should be a high-quality product The end of the It is true that there are other strips that are easy to mount, but most lack the UL/ETL ratings, metal cases, and surge protection. The reason why power strips without surge protection are often made to easily mount is that they are often made to be easy to mount. I promise, someone at Belkin can save you a lot of cursing and make your products more useful on a practical level simply by adding 15 cents to your manufacturing cost.
first, it was great already. But all of a sudden it just stopped working, I bought this on February 10th and it lasted just a little bit over a month, March 22nd, 2018. Due to this delay, I missed the return period, and will never again purchase this item. Your money is too valuable to waste.
Despite the fact that metal power strips are still available today, I am super excited. The metal power strips have a great advantage over the plastic surge protectors that you can find at drugstores and office supply stores, among many other places. These units are much more durable, have much better components, and are safer to use in case of a fire. It is safe to say that even if the insides burn up from lightning or an unexpected surge, the metal casing will prevent it from catastrophic failure. My jaw dropped when I saw the cord size! Next, I was amazed at how long the cord is! It was a surprise to me when I purchased it that it would be 15 feet long. In order to keep the excess cord out of the way, I wrapped it around the back and sides of my desk. People might not be aware that you should not bundle power strips (or any other) cords while in use, as this can cause them to overheat and/or limit their power flow. got to be kidding me! The plugs are very secure, and they have good-quality materials Unlike cheaper power strips where the cheap contacts wear out and become loose over time, this power strip has brass contacts that will last for many years. It has a large lighted switch for convenience, and there is an LED to indicate surge protection is active. It is listed as a "workshop" power strip, but it has a base surge suppression rating of 400V at all levels, so it can handle virtually any power surge. Therefore, it is also a good choice when it comes to setting up a computer, as I am currently doing. A lamp and my laptop are in it at my desk, as well as the USB/phone chargers. you're going to be using this on hardwood, however, you should put felt pads or Velcro on the bottom to avoid scratching. In my case though, it's on carpet, so I don't have any issues with it. The quality of the product is outstanding, and I would purchase again in no time!.
This device is designed just about the same way I would build one if I started from scratch as an Electrical Engineer. Only thing I would change is to install a 15 amp Class G fuse holder instead of the circuit breaker, since these fuses have excellent recent short circuit current interruption capability, but this would only be for myself, since most people are resistant to using fuses. There is ample space between the outlets so that the outlets can practically all be used with the various chargers and adapters that are used today with In addition to its metal construction, this surge protector offers surge protection to devices plugged into it both in normal mode and common mode. This product is excellent, and I strongly recommend it.
