5/5

These were purchased as part of my RP-related purchases. The mains are 600M. I liked the idea of a speaker stand that could be locked down to some extent. The box was much smaller and heavier than I had anticipated. Assembly was simple, instructions were included, and getting everything symmetrical was not difficult. I slid the speakers back into their stands until they felt like they were in the middle of the room. I used my own bumper pads instead of the four adhesive strips that came with them to prevent scratching and isolate vibrations. To avoid damage from all contact points, I would have used four strips for a single stand. I appreciate a tidy setup, so the cable management is a nice bonus. br>br>My only gripe is that the upper steel stands aren't completely level. I only noticed this with one of the stands because my speaker wobbled slightly when I was trying to get it in the perfect position; I could compensate by using a larger bump pad, but it works fine as is. I'd buy these again if the opportunity arose.

Solid as a rock! These stands are fantastic! When I first saw how big the Polk S15s were, I was concerned, but I was pleasantly surprised by their durability
5/5

The adjustable speaker plates can accommodate a wide variety of models and sizes. I've had these stands for a few weeks and no longer have to worry about my speakers falling off or the stand being knocked over because the sides are padded and secured with wingnuts.

I agree that it is not the worst, but it is significantly better than the average
4/5

For my wharfdale 11, I purchased three pairs. A 7 is made up of 2's and surrounds. I prefer the tighter, cleaner sound of a bookshelf system over a sub and two ways. Anyway, let's return to the bleachers. The stands are held together by a rubber/metal round connector that connects the two poles. For the time being, it works, but if the rubber breaks down, these will be useless. When putting together the main pole piece, you'll notice something. Although the top plate is only held on by one screw (which concerns me), it appears to be sturdy. A larger screw holds the bottom screw in place. The tempered glass looks nice, but the dampening is just stick-on rubber feet, which I believe they should provide a few more of because I believe it would improve side-to-side stability. Stability is the weakest feature of a heavy speaker like the wharfdale, in my opinion. These are excellent for smaller surrounds, and for the price, I would recommend this stand. The top wings are simply wingnut held to widen to about 9. The top is only 5 or 5 inches long, with a maximum speaker width of 5". If your speaker is over 16" deep, it won't be very stable at 5". It would have been nice to have a couple more rubber strips for this area, but I had some extra furniture felt pads on hand and applied them here to dampen it a little more. Aside from that, they were simple to assemble and functioned admirably. They're stable enough to get the job done, but I'd like to see if they can withstand a quake in California. I guess we'll have to wait and see. For the time being, I'm giving them four stars because they're relatively simple to put together. It was difficult to push and twist the two pole sections together; you might want to apply a thin layer of soapy water to make it slide on easier, and when it dries, it should hold like it was supposed to.

It's not great, but it's also not bad
4/5

For $65, this is an excellent value. These stands are pretty good for the price, and they come with free Amazon Prime shipping. One minor quibble is that the base is made of tempered glass rather than all metal. I would have preferred all of them to be metal, but that was not a deal breaker for me. The rubber feet that you put on the bottom of these are just double back taped on, which I think is a little chintzy. I have better speaker stands for my stereo system speakers that are better made, but they are also more expensive. I like how they adjust to fit various speaker sizes and keep them firmly in place. That being said, I removed the slides that adjust the width of the stands to hold the speakers because I didn't need them and it made the stands look cleaner when I wasn't using them. I'm using these to house a pair of JBL 9 rear surround speakers behind my sofa. I have one soundbar system that I use only when watching movies in surround sound; when not in use, the speakers are removed and charged on the ends of my JBL soundbar. These are perfect for pairing with a JBL soundbar. For their soundbar system, JBL does not provide any kind of speaker stand. Overall, I am pleased with these speaker stands, with only a few minor quibbles. They're the ideal height for putting behind a sofa.

Multifunctional with a solid build
4/5

Pros: large cord opening (I was able to fit my cords through the hole with the banana plugs still attached), weight (I looked at a similar pair for $47 but the shipping weight indicated they were very light, these are around 7 pounds each and feel very stable), sharp clean look with tempered glass, and height (sit just above a standard couch table and above our listening position - I spent a long time looking for this height, and the few extra inches are well worth it). br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Setting up the connector between the tubes required the use of a rubber mallet, and lining up the cord holes after they were put together was nearly impossible - They're extremely stable, but you can't twist them once they're joined, and you'll never be able to separate them. Also, while the mechanism for holding the speakers allows for a variety of sizes, it lacks a finished look (wing nuts detract from the overall clean look) and isn't as stable as I'd like (they'll never be tight enough to keep the speaker in place - They'd come off if someone slammed their head against it hard enough). br>br>I considered giving it five stars, but the minor design flaws cost me one. Having said that, I would buy them again and recommend them over a variety of other options.
