Only the Sonos Beam can be mounted to the wall with this mount. It's not a good idea to use it to hang a Sonos Beam from the ceiling.

It's about 16" long, so it's not too big. I don't see how it could ever get to 24". br>Your best option is to purchase a 1x4 26". To save time, effort, and tools, I recommend getting a smooth sanded one. Then, in order to reach the studs, attach it to your wall and paint it to match. After that, connect the speaker to it. I used this method to hang both of my televisions.

Which mount should I choose between a $20 HumanCentric and a $59 Sonos? Let's see, they're both made of cheap black metal with four single holes (HumanCentric) or long horizontal hole slots (Sonos) on the back for wall mounting and two single holes (Sonos) or long horizontal hole slots (HumanCentric) on the bottom for screwing in the soundbar (Sonos Beam). And one of them (Sonos) costs roughly three times as much as the other (HumanCentric). br>br>Wait, which one is it? br>br>Of course, I favor HumanCentric. It's solid, which is more than enough for a device that weighs less than a pound. While it's nice to have the long slots rather than the single hole along the wall mount like the Sonos, it's far more practical to have those long slots at the point where the device mounts, as it's much easier (with the HumanCentric mount) to loosen the screws and slide the soundbar to correct a minor centering problem (the mount is noticeably shorter than the length of the beam, so the mount is hidden when soundbar is attached) than to remove the soundbar. br>br>Basically, (and I'm not saying the Sonos product isn't good, but) the HumanCentric product offers more value.

When the speaker is mounted, there is a nice but not excessive amount of space behind it to plug in your cables, keeping the speaker close to the wall. Still, before screwing it down, make sure everything is plugged in. br>br>The metal shelf is well-built. My speaker was rattling due to vibrations in my wall, so I used some pillow foam I had on hand to act as a gasket between the speaker and the mount, and it works perfectly. br>br>Perhaps it's just my wall. It's not the mount's fault; I'm just giving you a heads up in case you run into this.

I looked at the Sonos website and decided that I could get a better deal on Amazon. This sound bar bracket was highly recommended by Amazon reviewers, so I decided to purchase it. It was simple to install, and the only thing I added was a zip tie to keep it in place on the bracket because I assumed the cats would become curious and knock the sound bar off its perch. Definitely worth it, especially if you got your Sonos Sound Bar during Prime Day, as I did.
This very simple bracket made wall mounting my new Sonos Beam beneath my wall-mounted TV a breeze. If necessary, the sound bar's elongated mount points can be used to center the sound bar after the bracket has been installed. The bracket is mostly hidden once it's in place, busy holding your sound bar, which is a significant investment. If I set up another TV with the Sonos Beam sound bar, I'll buy this bracket again.
It's a great shelf. It's even perfect. This is a fantastic deal. The hardware that comes with it is designed to be used as a toy. grade. Before installing it, I should've read the reviews. However, as soon as I began driving the first screw into the wall, the head stripped and then broke off. So, instead of a 10-minute project, I spent it trying to remove the screw because I didn't have an extractor. It had to be cut out of the wall in order to get it. Spackle a couple of times. Repaint the wall with a new coat of paint. Also, I had to relocate the entire setup so that I could place the bar in a different location. That time, I used my own screws, and it took me only 5 minutes to complete the project, which turned out beautifully. Still buy it, but toss the screws out as soon as possible.
I purchased this to mount my Sonos Beam on my fireplace mantel. I needed this to attach the Beam to the sound bar mount because it only has screws on the bottom. It was a total success. I simply substituted machine screws, washers, and bolts for the original screws.
Because of the high rating, I decided on this mount. WARNING - The screws that come with it are by far the cheapest and worst-made screws I've ever encountered. When I tried to use a drill to install the first screw, it immediately stripped. Then I attempted to use a screwdriver to remove the second screw, which completely stripped it! I've never seen a screw stripped by hand before, with the metal flaking away. It's made so cheaply. Now we're stuck with this screw in our wall, and we've had to buy multiple drill bits to try to remove it, but so far we've had no luck. br>br>The bracket is fine, but you should buy your own screws so you don't end up in the same situation as we did.
