It was not going to be mounted to a wall, rather it would be attached to the TV wall mount with bolts. We picked the TV wall mount because it didn't include soundbar brackets, but it did have holes for mounting one. Exactly what I needed was this bracket, so I bought it. You need to lift the bar and slide it to the side to drop into a smaller notch. You do not have to center the notch. This bracket can be leveled perfectly, but it was a slight challenge due to the arms, not this bracket. There is an uneven and unlevel bar and it is a little off to one side or the other. I gave it 4 stars on Sturdiness because there was nothing to keep the sound bar from leaning forward. I wedged in a couple of thin washers and it fixed the issue, so it was not a big deal. However, it should have been investigated in greater detail.
It is not recommended to use these attachments for television mounting. I don't know. Mounting it to the wall isn't too much of a problem due to the LG design. It is possible to attach it to a TV wall mount/soundbar extension, but it is more complicated than it appears. This is neither as sturdy as it could be nor as easy to use. Mounting to a tv wall mount which allows the attachment of a sound bar eliminates the need for this bracket. Rather than getting a specific one, buy one that is universal. This bracket should be fine for mounting to the wall if it's just for this bracket.
Using this to mount my LG sound bar to a TV that is mounted on the wall is very easy. However, I had to rig it to the mounting brackets that I have installed on the back of my tv, but I got it to work and I'm very pleased with the results. I needed this piece.
The little touches get me to write a review, like installing it easily, and even having a little line on it to ensure you're centered, since the weight is a bit offset, and you'd be one inch or so off without that line.
There is a lot of similarity to the original mount, if not the same. I'm not sure if this was an original flaw or just a defect with this one, but it seems to be a little loose after I mounted the soundbar to There is a slight incline to the design. No matter how hard I tried, the speaker could not be straightened out.
My LG Soundbar is held in place by this heavy-duty bracket. Despite not using the provided hardware, I did not test it.
The original sound on my phone was lost when I moved. is well made and appears to look like the real thing. There is a problem with this item, in that it is loose around the studs of the sound bar, which causes it to tilt forward. Can't complain too much for the price, just needs a little more improvement.
