QualGear QG-PRO-PM-2FT-W Pro-AV 1.5" Npt Threaded Pipe, 2' Length Projector Accessory , White

I recently received my 2ft QualGear extension, which will be replacing a 1ft Omnimount extension. This was supposed to be a straightforward change. Not so: "NPT-" is the description on the QualGear extension tube I got. It is "compatible," but it does not adhere to NPT standards because it is not tapered. According to the NPT standard, a 1-inch diameter pipe should be used. On the threaded part, there is a 16 taper (male ends are narrower, female ends are wider). Because the diameter and threading pitch of the extension pipe match, you can begin threading it into an NPT coupling, but it will block after a few turns because the internal diameter of the NPT female coupling decreases as the male end is inserted deeper. As a result, the extension does not fit properly (it has some angular freedom because it is a straight piece jammed inside a cone) and cannot be fixed into place with the coupling's set screw (because it does not go in far enough). br>It's a shame, because the tube appears to be of good quality, with a convenient cap over the old-fashioned tube. Most such pipes have a large opening fashioned (for large plugs). I would have liked to use it, but it will have to be returned because it is incompatible with the two NPT couplings on my Omnimount holder.

br>br>Pay attention to the details in the description; This isn't the Chief CMS003's 3-inch threaded pipe! br>It has a 3" neck and 1" of threaded pipe on each side for a total length of 5". This results in a 3" extension rather than a 1" extension.

I bought the one-year subscription. There was no 1"x2" cable outlet opening for the VGA connector or cover plate, and it was only a foot long. I read all of the product descriptions and it appears that the port and cover plate should be included. The cover plate is not included, despite the fact that the opening is shown on the instruction card. I exchanged it in the hopes of finding a faulty unit, but the replacement was identical.

There are some mounts that are better than others! I was very impressed with the mount's design and construction quality. My previous setup consisted of a Chief mount extension, which lacked the QualGear mount's level of finish and fit. Excellent powder coating finish, well-packaged for shipping, and a well-engineered removable plastic cable access port. For my next installation, I'll definitely look into QualGear products.

This was the ideal length for extending the distance between my projector and the ceiling. It looks great and matches the rest of the mount. It also came pre-assembled. It was greased to make it easier to apply. This is definitely preferable to some generic pipe, which I couldn't find an equivalent for at Home Depot. Do yourself a favor and get this if you need to extend the range of your mount.

I was ecstatic when I discovered this, but in all honesty, I was expecting a thin, flimsy aluminum pipe that would make me doubt my project's integrity; however, I was completely wrong! I placed an order for this extension as well as the recommended coupling. The fabric is extremely durable. It's well-made and not made of thin, flimsy aluminum. This product has exceeded my expectations, and I will continue to purchase QualGear accessories!.
