A full set of mounting hardware is included that enables the installation of almost any projector on any ceiling. The M4x10 machine screws/washers on the projector were directly attached to the stud for the mount bracket, and the lag bolts went on the projector itself. I can vouch for its solidity! I was able to mount it so precisely that it was dead-centered on my 150" wall screen without any pincushioning whatsoever (of course, the shift of the optical lens helped as well 1) Don't skimp on the mount. Keep yourself in the best position possible. After all, you'll have to live with it for a long time and you don't want to have to go back up there to change.

Installed this mount and the extension tube 2' from the ceiling on a vaulted and sloped ceiling over a two-day period. The range of options when trying to find a white mount that would work at an angle wasn't very large, but this was a good 'middle' option. also a Vivo one that was cheaper, and a Vogel option that was more expensive. previously owned a Qualgear mount with a low profile, I decided to try this one as well. In general, if you center it on a ceiling stud, it's very strong. Those thick screws took a lot of effort to drill in, so I have no doubt this thing can hold the weight of my Optoma UHD50. While the cable management on the tube extension is great, the base kit does not provide that feature. It was quite easy to install, and a few tweaks were needed to ensure the screen is centered properly. However, there were a few things that I did not like. The first is that the hex screws used are not standard, so you will most likely have to use included hex tools (there's a dot in the middle of the The second and most annoying aspect of the projector design was how it attached to the laptop. While the two Optoma projectors I own have three points of attachment, this mount is designed for four. On the previous Qualgear mount I had, that wasn't an issue, since it was easy to remove and adjust the remaining arms as needed. I had to remove part of the arm and use some extra spacers from the previous mount to get the new mount to fit my 3-points. I ended up removing part of the arm and using spare spacers from the previous mount to get the mount to fit. Take a look at the In my assessment, I will not deduct too many stars from the rating, since I think this issue might be particular to certain projector models that use 3 holes in their mounts. In general, it is a great build quality product, the design is great, and you can make fine adjustments to it as well. Though I am not sure if the Qualgear is necessarily worth 3x as much as the Vivo alternative, I intend on keeping it. Measuring three times before ordering the pipe extension you'll need is the standard practice here (or you can make one yourself).

We purchased two for a friend's club projectors and were pleasantly surprised by their quality. The mount that I used was easy to use and was built like a tank. I have worked with many different projector mounts and found this one to be the best so far.
The mounting of the projector on the base plate was easy despite the vaulted ceiling, and the installation for the base plate was straightforward. This mount works perfectly with BenQ HT1070A projectors, as we have used these devices with this mount in the past. This kit has everything you need to build your project except for a pipe for the correct drop length. There is no need for you to risk having the wrong answer on it if QualGear's drop pipes and connectors fit your needs or, if you don't want to, do what In our Home Depot store, we got a coupling and every size between 3 and 18 inches so we could see what we had to do since we had to maneuver around other stuff on the ceiling and could not get what we thought was an exact measurement. As soon as we got everything where we wanted it, we returned the unused pieces. All the adjustments were fairly easy, and the order was completed in record time.

My installation was done professionally for an affordable price, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. Despite having a vaulted ceiling, the bracket has an extremely low profile. It is very easy to use, as it can tilt side to side and turn up and down. It is a perfect solution Getting to the back of the projector is as simple as tilting it up to reveal the back panel.

Currently, I am using an Epson 3500, which is large and heavy. A couple of cheap mounts weren't sturdy enough, so I returned them. I was amazed at how easy it was to install. When I called the support line, they were very helpful and soon sent me the part I needed.

I used my BenQ short throw for the best results. The room was vaulted and it worked quite well. Since I needed more drop, I went to the hardware store and bought some 1" NPT pipe and swapped it for the 3" pipe that was included. I found it to be a great tool.

I would trust it with much more than 70 pounds, which is what it's stated it can hold. There are two big home improvement stores you can visit if you need to. Steel pipe fits nicely here, and it's 5" in diameter.
