Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350?

Yes. The Epson 8350 is supported by this projector mount. There are primarily two things that you should look into: br>1) Capacity for weight. Projectors weighing up to 30 pounds are supported by this projector mount. The Epson 8350 is a lightweight printer that weighs in at only 17 pounds. br>2) The projector's mounting holes VESA (Vehicle Electronics Standards Association) is another name for this. All projectors with mounting holes diagonally between 6 and 12 inches can be supported by this projector mount. 8" to 15. 63". The mounting holes on the Epson 8350 are 13 inches apart. 38".

Is it compatible with the Benq HT2050?

Yes. This device is extremely adaptable and versatile when it comes to projectors.

Is it only for dry walls or can it also be used on concrete?

I used 50 lb anchors to secure mine to a dry wall ceiling. With the power and HDMI cable, my projector weighs about ten pounds. It would be great if you could hook up with a stud. I would trust the drywall and studs more than the concrete, but that is just my opinion.

Without bolts to hold it in place, the saw in the video mount can move. Will people walking or bass rumbling cause the video to shake if I use it on the second floor?

The structure of your building, rather than this mount, is the subject of your question. We use it in our dance studio and movie theater at home. It was fantastic, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone. We use it with our video games when we're jumping around and listening to music, and the mount adjusts without issue. It is safe, and if I needed one, I would purchase another. It's something I'd strongly advise you to try.

It looks and functions well, but it is not simple to set up
4/5

On my new BenQ HT3550 projector, I installed it yesterday. It appears to be well-made and attractive, but I do have one major criticism. The included spacers do not snap together, which makes assembly difficult; if the spacers had snapped together like Legos, my installation time would have been reduced by at least 30 minutes. As is, the leveling spacers "nest" together but do not stay together nicely, and the leveling spacers neither nest nor snap to the arm spacer (which compensates for the difference in height caused by the rolled steel arm), causing all of the spacers to slide around while trying to thread the screw into the projector. PROS: br>br> br> Looks nicebr> Adjusts fairly easily (thumb screws would be better)br> Easy to attach and remove projector for maintenance with hooks (again, thumb screws would be better)br> Instructions are well writtenbr> Includes a variety of spacers that allow you to adapt to virtually any projectorbr> So you don't miss anything and know what each piece is for (VERY NICE! ), it's all packed and itemized for you. )br>br>CONS: )br>br>CONS: )br>br>CONS:
- Because the spacers do not snap together, assembly is more difficult than it should be. br>- It would be nice if they included some longer M4 screws for use with taller spacings, like those found on the BenQ HT3550. I believe the M4x25 screws are adequate, but I would prefer 30mm long screws to ensure proper thread purchase. M4 washers would also be preferred when using M4 screws. The larger washers have a sloppy appearance to them.
- There are no thumb screws for the tool. fewer alterations and removals.

Good, but make sure you don't need to adjust the height
4/5

This mount was purchased to go with the Optoma GT1080Darbee projector (which I also purchased on Amazon). Even though it was only last night, my projector is now up and running. br>br>As a first-time installer, I had a fairly positive experience. This mount comes with a lot of small parts that can be used in a number of different ways. I was very pleased with the way these parts were packaged and organized into individual packages, making it simple to locate what I needed. Also, because of the large number of adjustable pieces, I quickly figured out that there were more than one way to attach the face plate to my projector, though it would have been great if I could have seen how others had installed the same projector. When it came time to adjust my projector, the only feature I really didn't have was vertical alignment. Many mounts have metal pipes that can be easily replaced at your local hardware store if you want to adjust the height of the mount. There isn't a lot of flexibility with this mount in that area. br>br>In the end, I have my projector installed and am satisfied with the mount, though I had to compromise by lowering the height of my projector screen because the mount would not allow me to do so.

Design flaws in the swivel
3/5

In order to replace an older 725HD, I recently purchased an Epson HC 3100. This projector is roughly twice the size and weight of the previous one, and my old mount was no longer adequate. This one appeared to be made for a bigger projector. While this is partially correct, it has the same flaw as my previous argument. Except for the swivel point in the very center, which is held on by only a small bolt; it feels sturdy enough when set up, but it bounces like a spring at the slightest touch, regardless of how tight you tighten it. It's barely noticeable up close, but it's obvious on the screen, and all it takes is a heavy seat on the couch to notice it. br>br>For a projector weighing less than ten pounds, this is most likely a great mount. If you need something bigger, save your money and get the Epson universal mount (around $100) that swivels on a large threaded tube. All of the Amazon models under $100 appear to have the same flaw.

I bought this mount for an older Epson projector from around 2010
5/5

It's very well made and extremely versatile. Because the Epson is only a stop gap, I needed something that would fit the Epson, which has three posts on the bottom, as well as any new projector I bought. I bought this model based on the pictures, which seemed to indicate that it had a lot of flexibility in terms of how it could be configured, which is an understatement. br>br>I can't think of a projector that this mount wouldn't work with. It took some time to figure out how to make it work, but it's now securely attached and can turn, rotate, pivot, and pivot in almost any direction you can think of. It's made of very solid powder coated steel and high-end hardware, and it comes with a slew of adapters, arms, bushings, and extra bolts/screws that should allow it to work with any projector on the market. br>br>The instructions are primarily focused on properly mounting the base to ensure that the unit is secure. It'll take some time to figure out how to attach the top half of the projector to the projector. It's similar to putting together a puzzle, but it doesn't take long with a little patience. See the attached photo to see how I set it up to work with this old Epson projector. It's just a simple matter of connecting them once the projector bracket is attached to the projector and the base is attached to the ceiling or wall. While the quick connect system is a little clumsy at first, it eventually becomes second nature. In the end, this is a very well made and very versatile projector mount that I can recommend without reservation. br>br>If you had to remove the projector every day for some reason, the process would get pretty simple over time. br>br>In the end, this is a very well made and very versatile projector mount that I can recommend without hesitation.
