Questions & Answers

How many brackets 1 or 2 can you get for $33? 79?

There are two of them. For both the left and right sides of the screen

At the end of the bracket, how far away from the wall will the screen be hung? Because I have a flat screen behind it, I'll need about 8 inches of clearance. ?

The screen will be 6" from the wall when using these brackets. As a result, the 12" L- will be required. brackets, allowing the screen to be mounted anywhere within those 12" That will provide you with sufficient clearance.

Is this compatible with a Spectrum motorized 100" screen, or is it only compatible with the VMAX line? Thanks. ?

These brackets are holding my FAVI 100- (which is surprisingly good). Electric screen in high definition. Brackets are universal, as someone mentioned in the previous response. The long slots on the top of these brackets are their best feature. Small bolts that secure the screen to the brackets protrude through this hole. They appeal to me because they are long, allowing me to move the screen forward and backward. I have a TV mounted on the wall behind my screen so that when I press the button on my remote to tell my home theater system that I want to watch something on the TV, my screen will roll up to reveal the TV. Because the brackets had slots, I was able to slide the screen backwards as far as I could without hitting the TV when it rose and fell. I'll admit that for the screen in my bedroom, I went to the local hardware store and bought a couple of brackets that are used to mount pre-fabricated screens. For less than $15, I built shelves and a few open eye hook bolts and nuts.

Is it possible to keep them outside all year?

Thank you for your interest and inquiry, Thulasi. As far as I can tell, you want these to be permanently installed outside. To best respond to this, I must state that, while these brackets can be installed outside, they are made of metal and will rust over time if exposed to the elements. I'd suggest spraying them with a clear anti-fungal spray. rust spray (B002BWORQS or similar) to help extend the life of the finish. I hope this information assists you in making your choice. br>Excellent,br>Elite Screens

So far, it's been great for me, and it's exactly what I needed
5/5

These brackets did exactly what I needed them to do. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no trouble using all of the hardware that was provided. I had no issues with the drywall anchors. I've attached two photos to demonstrate my setup.

You'll need this if you have an Elite Screen
5/5

In comparison to this attachment bracket, the screws and attachment on my Elite Screen manual pull down are very weak. It was incredibly simple to install - My screen installation took me 15 minutes in total. I did not use the drywall anchors that came with the product because I drilled into studs for my installation, and the screen that these brackets are supporting is an Elite Screen 84" manual pull down screen. There are a few things to keep in mind when using these L-shaped L-shaped L-shaped L-shaped L-shaped L brackets: 1. br>br> Toggle bolts, rather than the included dry wall anchors, are recommended for drywalls. These are the most basic anchors made of plastic. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br For each bracket, three screws are included. With a power screwdriver, it's difficult to reach the top screw. You'll need a long-neck phillips screwdriver or a screwdriver attachment. To install the top screw, I used a phillips screwdriver with a 9" neck. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The attachment to the L-shape can be adjusted. Use brackets to determine how far your screen should protrude from the wall. br>br>I'd rate it a four out of five. Because the top screw is in such an inconvenient location to screw in, I gave it five stars. I hope you find this information useful.

For projector screens, this is an absolute must-have
5/5

These brackets made setting up a projector and screen for the first time so simple and enjoyable. I'm writing this review almost a year after purchasing the brackets because I wanted to see how well they held up over time, and I can confidently say that they were well worth the money. br>br>Like many others, I needed brackets that were customizable and allowed for easier mounting of my projector screen, where I could adjust it further forward, further back, up higher, or down lower. I also needed these brackets because I was mounting a screen to drywall and wanted to make sure it was secure because I would be pulling the screen down frequently. br>br>These were simple to put together, and I liked being able to adjust the screen slightly to make it level and fit the projector perfectly. The brackets have held up well to the pressure of retracting after nearly a year of daily use. br>br>These brackets made my installation a lot easier than it would have been otherwise. I used to be (and probably still am). ) I'm not used to doing things like this, but the setup worked out beautifully. Make certain that these are included in the purchase of a retractable projector screen.

Instead of buying, you should get some metal toggle bolts
5/5

These are ideal for securing my projector screen. I have a 120" diagonal screen that weighs maybe 30lbs if I had to guess, and it holds it far enough away from the wall so that it doesn't bump any protrusions or decorations that are hanging on the wall. br>br>I do, however, recommend that you purchase some metal toggle bolts instead of typical drywall screws because the angle of these brackets results in an outward force rather than a downward, and typical drywall anchors aren't designed for that. At first, I used regular drywall screws, which caused me some concern because the top one pulled out of the wall about 1/2". It was a lot more secure once I put the toggle bolts in.

Always hang from studs
4/5

Instead of mounting the screen directly to the wall, this is a much more secure option. It creates a large gap between the wall and the screen, allowing room for a TV or anything else that would otherwise obstruct the projector screen. br>br>I used an 80' screen with them. Using drywall anchors is not a good idea. Fix it to the stud with a nut and bolt. Otherwise, constant screen retraction WILL weaken the drywall, potentially causing it to fall. This occurred to me. br>br> Because I should have known better, I'm not leaving a negative review. After that, I used a 1x4x60 board to mount them to. 3" screws to hold the board in place, and (2) 1" screws on each side to keep the brackets in place. When studs don't line up, you'll have support from them.

Bracket is good, but the hardware is of poor quality
3/5

The L- Although the brackets themselves are sturdy and well-made, the included hardware, such as mounting screws, eye bolts, and carabiners, is cheap and undersized. To get better quality bolts and screws, I had to go to a hardware store. I chose this over cheaper alternatives because it was a name brand (Elite Screens), and I expected high quality, but I was let down. br>br>The mounting screws are very small and only long enough for drywall mounting; they won't reach a wall stud securely. Because the eye bolt is quite thin and not threaded very far, you'll have to suspend the screen quite far down from the mount. The carabiner is too big for the front hole on the L-bracelet. Despite the fact that the instructions include an entire section stating that the carabiner can be used to suspend the screen from the front hole if desired. br>br>As I previously stated, the brackets themselves are nice, and I'm happy with how it looks now, but to install this, I needed to purchase sturdier hardware that actually fit.
