Questions & Answers

Is a wall stud required for this installation?

My mount's base was secured to a stud using screws. I found the studs by tying a string to a refrigerator magnet and dragging it across the wall at different heights until the studs were found.

Is it possible to mount it in an L shape on a wall? Between the mounting plate and the angle joint, how much space do you have?

This is how I mounted my Benq HT2050 projector to the wall, and it could be done with a larger projector as well. The arms are quite flexible, so you could extend them quite far into the room, though a heavy projector may tip slightly, which you can compensate for.

Can this be mounted on a wall? The instructions do not state that it can only be mounted on a wall; however, the sample images show that it can; therefore, can this be mounted on a wall?

I could certainly be hung on the wall. The bolts are tightened after you've set it up that way. That's how I use mine, and it's great. Just keep in mind that you'll need a small or normal-sized projector; a large projector will not work.

Is there a set of M6 x 4 screws included with this mount to secure it to the projector?

Yes. br>M6 screws are included in the screw assortment: M3, M4, M5, M6br>There are two sizes available for M6: br>M6x16 screw (x4)br>M6x40 screw (x4)br>Be sure to use the correct length screw as recommended by your projector manufacturer. If you're unsure, consult your projector's manual or contact the company directly.

Extremely durable, highly adjustable, and simple to set up
5/5

We used this in our call center and had no problems installing it in a standard sound barrier 2'x2' square with drop in tiles, though I did use toggle bolts instead of the supplied bolts ($3 at Lowe's). The original projectors we ordered from Amazon were far too dim to work with our lighting, so I replaced them with full-size, high-end Panasonic projectors and had no trouble getting them to work with these mounts, despite the fact that they had a strange mounting pattern designed to entice you to buy the Panasonic mount. Extremely pleased, and any business owner can be confident that these are a sound investment. Because it can spin, it can be adjusted to any angle up/down or side to side.

My Optoma UHD51A projector was a perfect match
5/5

I had another brand before that didn't work as well in my case; every time my kids walked or jumped, I had to come down and adjust the projector to align the picture in the screen (whether with or without the extender, the picture was always out of range). br>br>This is simple to install and can be used with two screws to fit in your ceiling joists. br>This goes up to 9" below your ceiling; not sure if you can buy an extender (in my case, 9" was perfect)br>br>The projector is mounted (in the basement) below my living room area; although there is some traffic most of the time, the shaking or movement you can experience when watching a movie is minimal, to say none. br>br>If you need to install a projector without using an extender pole, this is a great product to use.

Sturdy as well as attractive! While working in IT support for a public school district, I installed these Amer projector mounting brackets for 6 years
5/5

Not only are the Amer units easier to install than others, but they also make it simple to adjust the projector (perpendicular to the wall, height, etc. ) or remove the projector (for cleaning or replacement). allen wrench and a joint! I bought it with the intention of displaying it on the wall. We installed a projector in our new home, and I have every reason to believe it will continue to perform as well as it has in the past!.

In my opinion, this is a must-have
5/5

After using my Vankyo 600 in a homemade shelf for a while, I decided it was time to move it to a more convenient and attractive location. br> I had been working on my closet for a few weeks when I decided to install the mount on the ceiling. After mysteriously failing to make a hole in the ceiling, I tried and succeeded in the wall. br>br>This unit is small, well-designed, and installs in a variety of ways. I found it to be sturdy enough for my projector mounting needs. br>br>After installation, it took me a few minutes to get the perfect alignment and then tightened in place, and I couldn't be happier with the results; my projector is out of sight now, compared to 3 feet away from my head before, the projector noise is gone, and the audio sounds much better.

Each and every one of the reviews is accurate
5/5

Following the purchase of a newer projector, I decided it was also time to invest in a nice projector mount. I decided to give this product a try after reading the reviews. Everything positive that has been said by previous reviewers is accurate. When you're ready to install, set aside some time to take all of the necessary measurements for picture, straight, level, and projector clearances. Assembly was simple, and I found it easiest to start with the arms and work my way down to the spiral assembly. This made aligning the arm screws to the spiral assembly a lot easier. br>Once everything was put together, mounted, aligned, and tightened down, this item didn't let me down. It's solid, well-made, and comes with a lot of hardware. Overall, it's well-made and looks fantastic after installation.

Way more impressive than I had anticipated! On the 11th of June, 2018, an update was made: I've had a good run with this thing, but it's time to let it go
4/5

Unfortunately, this mount will not fit the new, larger projector that I purchased over the weekend. I also deducted a star because my attempt to contact Amer about getting some new support arms/hardware did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. However, the hardware is solid, so if you have a small/moderately sized projector and need a nice, affordable mount, this is the one to get. br>br>For just over $20, this thing is far superior to any product! It's very sturdy, easy to mount/install, has a lot of adjustability, and once you've got it where you want it, you can lock it down tight like a drum and it won't move. I used it in an L shape, which means I mounted it on the wall and hung the projector from it. I was relieved to discover that I was able to mount my Optoma HD25e without difficulty, and it appears to be of excellent quality throughout! I've been looking for a projector mount like this for a long time.

It's a great deal for the money
5/5

For my Benq 3550, I chose this mount primarily because it had an 8. Without any keystone adjustment, I was able to achieve a 6" (advertised) drop to match my screen. When everything was put together, I had almost 9" of height. I did need to purchase additional screws in addition to the ones provided, but that was something I had anticipated. What I needed could be found at my neighborhood hardware store. I was able to mount the projector very close to its center of gravity because the circle part of the mount had four (not three) spiral slots. I still had to tilt the projector upwards slightly to achieve perfect perpendicularity to the screen (no keystone), but the allen wrench style nuts allowed for a good firm tightening without being too tight to move a little by hand (the trick is to always allow for some adjustment while it stays where you put it). So far, I've had good luck with it, and it's stayed exactly where I pointed it. Since I have a screen, I became obsessed with getting the picture to fit exactly between the boarders (on all four sides) and to be as large as possible. This mount allowed me (in my case) to repeat the process without the use of a keystone. br>While your results may vary, I believe this to be a good mount.
