This won't fit if your projector's bolt/mount pattern is more than 12" across when measured diagonally. Regarding the color, I can back up what the others have said. The white ceiling plate contrasts with the silver bracket.
The mount, I suppose, was supposed to be in the middle from the start. In the front, however, there are three additional'slots' (left, middle, and right). So you can get a total of 9 mounting positions by using one of them and turning the entire plate in 90 degree steps. However, because the space is only 2 by 2 feet, the distance between the positions is only about a foot in either direction. Any projector's zoom range should be far greater than this.
It will, in my opinion. The mount is universal, so it will work with a variety of models.
This universal mount will work with any projector that has mounting points that are within a 12-inch span. (It will also fit projectors up to 15 inches in diameter with mounting points.) With the AMRP10057 extended arms kit, the span can be increased to 7". )br>The Optoma HD26 is a projector with all three mounting points within 12 inches of each other, so it comes with everything you need to set it up. On page 64 of the Optima manual, there are instructions for mounting the projector. There are three mounting points on the HD26. The screws will be M4 standard. Please keep in mind that you will most likely only use one of the four arms included in the kit, as a typical installation of this size projector would connect two points directly to the universal spider hub, with the third requiring the use of only one arm.

Take the extra 15 minutes to use your original ceiling tile with this mount. The mount is one of my favorites. If you don't take a few extra minutes to use your existing ceiling tile in the final installation, you'll be robbing yourself of a much cleaner and professional result. Simply align your original fiberglass tile with the 2x2 steel plate and cut the tile around the mount's base before connecting the base to the plate, allowing your original tile to be layered beneath the reinforced plate.
The mount for your projector is incredible. Setup is a breeze. Comes with a safety cable to keep your projector from falling out if your ceiling is t-shaped. Never fails to raise the bar. It's difficult to see in the photos, but the projector can be mounted in five different locations, resulting in 14 different projector orientations depending on how the 2'x2' plate in your ceiling is rotated. br>br>It's sturdy but not too heavy, and it's made of high-quality materials to keep your projector safe. This mount is ideal for those who have a drop ceiling.
' Instead of using the metal ceiling tile that was provided, I followed the advice of another buyer and used my existing ceiling tile. Simply cut out the arm's outline, install the original drop ceiling, then the metal plate on top of that, and screw in the arm! It appears to be very nice and tidy. Highly recommended, as it is extremely durable and simple to use!.
This is a fantastic alternative to using a drop ceiling mount. It was a lot easier than cutting a hole in the tile and attaching a mount to a different location in our theater basement room. br>I only had two minor issues with the product, neither of which I consider to be deal breakers. The bolts that secure the projector to the mount are a little short, and they didn't reach my projector. At the hardware store, I ended up buying longer bolts. (As a side note, my projector required metric bolts rather than standard. ) The projector I'm using is an Optima HD141X. ) It wasn't a big deal because I expected some adjustment with a universal mount. The power knockouts, as well as the holes for attaching a box, are a little off. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, and I was able to work around it. br>Getting the universal mount to fit and work on the projector can be a pain, but with a little patience, you should be able to get it to work. I'd prefer a universal mount to a projector-specific mount because I wouldn't have to buy another mount and repeat the process if I switched projectors.
I think I'll use some white caulk around the edges and some armstrong white paint to finish it off, but overall, I'm pleased. I like that I can not only center it like I did, but that I can also use the provided knockouts to move it 4" or 7" forward or backwards (depending on the orientation) if necessary. The cable support helps to stabilize the projector and gives you peace of mind that it will never fall to the ground.
It's heavier than expected, and mounting the projector on top of it threatened to pull down our entire drop ceiling. The weight of this product might be fine for some ceilings, but in my case, the aluminum kept bowing and bending under the weight, and the only way to keep it up would have been to wire it to the roof, which isn't allowed because it's solid concrete, or to wire it to the drop frames, which would still leave it sagging and unsightly in our conference room. Please let me know how to get this back to you as soon as possible. I gave it three stars because it did not meet my needs, but it is very sturdy and would have been ideal if my drop ceiling could have supported the weight.
The sturdiness of this option impressed us greatly. It's a fairly heavy unit, so a second pair of hands would be beneficial, especially if you're working from a high vantage point. Because ours was in the basement, there was no need to be concerned about height. The only caution I have is to make sure the arm fits properly on the panel before installing it. We had trouble aligning both of the bolts that connect the arm to the panel to the panel. Our projector was light enough that forcing the bolts worked without issue, but if you're using a large projector with a lot of weight, you might want to think about another option. Of course, if your projector is that large, you probably don't want to put your drop ceiling under that much stress to begin with.
Why aren't other product kits that require assembly as well-labeled as this one? The product works as it should and is described, but I'm most impressed with how they labeled and packaged almost every piece of hardware you might need so you don't have to sift through a huge pile of random pieces looking for or guessing which one is 'C' according to the instructions. It made it so much easier to find which bolts I needed, and it allowed me to return unused or used items to their labeled pouches for future use if/when we get a new projector that requires different hardware.
