Questions & Answers

Can I connect this mic to the PC with the cable that comes with it? Do you have to purchase the cable ?

In order to connect to a computer, a XLR cable (and an interface) must be used. Buying a USB mic is a good option. They go directly into the computer and work well.

There is a significant difference between this microphone and that listed here Go to http//www. The Amazon website. How about www.google.com/gp/aw/d/B00M9CUL60?

The original question was asking about the AKG Perception 170 (aka P170), which was silver in color with different specifications, that is still available on Amazon. It had the specification of the P170, but it was different from the P170 you are looking at now. In the new version, the background is black and the listings look the same. As far as AKG is concerned, all this has been verified. The two listings were expected to be merged by Amazon as of this writing, but they have yet to be merged. However, I have reported it, but Amazon has not merged them.

Do you think this mic will work for recording Panio? Would you be willing to recommend other products if this one is the best for piano?

In that case, it will record piano for you, as long as you keep these two things in mind Two things make this mic possible it is cardioid (narrow pattern) and it requires 48 vol. The options that would be more beneficial are limited at this price point.

What kind of sound can these produce when recording choirs? There have been other pencil condenser mics described in their product details as good options for that. Could you tell me what those are?

Depending on the recording environment, I think a lot can be achieved. In a good environment, these microphones will most certainly do the job, but if you do not have a high-quality environment, you can use other models. I would prefer a pair of omnidirectional mics over these if you are in an acoustically designed environment such as a church or concert hall.

My AKG P170 is a very good microphone
5/5

It is one of the best microphones I have used. I record my acoustic guitars using this mike. It is very cost-effective, has impressive performance, and has a dynamic range that is very high. This condenser microphone requires Phantom power, so either the mixer or the device to record must be able to provide it, or you must get an adapter to supply the phantom power (nominal 48 volts) to the mic. There are two of them in my possession. The construction of these is excellent, and they are very.

Excellent value for the price
5/5

These microphones are good value for the money. For $90 some dollars, you can have a high quality pick-up that can be used for vocals or instruments. The choir and wind instruments are made up of a few people. The microphone we're using on the stage is for Sunday services. A perfect fit for the saxophone and flute. The "cone of sensitivity" of the microphone should be measured for a small group of musicians to be heard. A pretty good cardioid pattern can be found on this microphone. The beauty of this unit lies in its simplicity. A choir, or a small group of singers, would benefit greatly from two of these mics positioned properly. It's much better than those hanging microphones that are usually used by choirs. The feedback generating widgets are those!.

Cymbals may find this too harsh
3/5

Considering its size and price, this is a good diaphragm condenser. The majority of people seem to use it on acoustic guitars, although I did not. My sample was used for cymbal overheads and found them to be quite harsh compared to the Audix F15.

The day they stopped working, they stopped working
3/5

Over a period of time, it worked fine, and then one day it stopped working altogether. In the course of recording the mandolin, guitar amp, and various other things, I plugged it in one day, and it wouldn't work. At first, it seemed like good quality, but stopped working at a random time. I would say that was a significant amount of change gone down the drain.

Excellent value for the price! I was impressed with your performance! According to some reviews, this mic would be a more affordable alternative to recording acoustic instruments with the much more expensive Shure cardioid
5/5

Having a competing product to my omni-channel service was important to me The directional vocal mike I usually use to get that warm responsive sound you hear on James Taylor records and so many others was not producing the sound I wanted. There is no doubt that those A-graded students Obviously, List folks have access to the best engineers and equipment, but at least in a home studio setting you have the opportunity to try your best, and this mic was a great choice. It's responsive, sensitive, and has a good frequency range. After experimenting with different positions, I preferred the closed mic near the bottom of the fretboard near where it joins the body, pointed at the hole with my omni-directional mic Rather than working as a directional microphone, it more in the style of a room mike set.

5/5

This technique is useful when used This term pertains to guitars made of acoustic wood. The tone of my guitar was well captured when I recorded with it. This book is highly recommended.

I love the microphone! Although I've been recording for less than a decade, I know that this is a very good mic for its price
5/5

Among the condensers I have are Audio Technica large diaphragm condensers, KLM condensers, AT small diaphragm condensers, and other assorted types. Using this microphone for the first time, I recorded a flute audition disc for a very good flute player, and wow it sounds As well as the light blue anodizing, it looks really cool. My future use of it will be mostly for instruments such as violin, viola, and flutes.
