These cables are top-notch. They're paired with studio-quality bookshelf speakers and a Velodyne subwoofer in my setup. You can spend a lot of money on something that may or may not be slightly better. I used to have Monster Cables and there was no difference between these and them.

Hello,br>br>When these are inserted, the plug's base sticks out about 1 1/3" and the cable's bend adds another 1/4", so you'll need about 1 3/4" of space to fit comfortably. br>br>Thank you,br>Mediabridge Customer Supportbr>856-br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br 216- 8222br>support@mediabridgeproducts is an email address that you can use to get in touch with us. com
This cable is not shielded,br>br>hello,br>br>hello,br>br>hello,br>br>hello,br> The majority of speaker wires aren't shielded. To avoid interference, the conductors are twisted. These cables will suffice for the rest of the world. Because the only place where signal could deteriorate is at (oxidized) contacts, I was looking for soldered plugs in particular. Copper strands break easily, especially at plug attachment points, as I discovered. Regardless of copper quality, 12AWG ensures that electrons can freely travel from your amp to your speakers, allowing you to sleep better at night. Of course, McIntosh speaker cables will improve your sleep, but they'll set you back more than a year's worth of Lunesta or Ambien.
Overall, excellent solid cables. The cost is merely an advantage. This brand also made 16 gauge cables, which were extremely durable. For 12 gauge, these are unquestionably more robust. Obviously. It's well-made. I listen to a lot of audio, so I'm confident that it's not a placebo effect: the sound has more detail and fullness. The sound of the 16 gauge was great, but it was a little thinner. I've had and used "higher end" cables that were more expensive. Spend your money on these instead of saving it. Invest in higher-quality speakers as well as a powerful, clean, and reliable amplifier. Unless you have speakers and amplifiers that cost more than $3000, you're out of luck. There's no need for anything more expensive in terms of cables if you have a budget of $4000 or more. As always, do your homework, get to know your gear, and make the best decision you can. These, however, are outstanding.
I'm not convinced that cable can significantly improve sound quality; $1000 per foot speaker cable smells like snake oil to me. I bought these cables because I had run out of speaker wire and banana plugs and didn't want to go out and buy more. Anyway, I removed my old speaker wires, which were too short for my new location, and replaced them with Mediabridge 12 ft wires. Both my Rotel integrated amp and my Wharfedale speakers have banana plugs that fit perfectly (which isn't always the case in my experience). The cables are well jacketed, but the hot/ground cables coming out of the jacket could be a little longer if I had one complaint. In any case, I can't believe I'm saying this, but the bass has improved significantly. There is no doubt about it. I've previously purchased Mediabridge products and found them to be of high quality; these speaker cables are no different.
Then there are those who will spend hundreds of dollars on cables alone, believing that if they can just find the right one, they will be able to achieve the sound they desire. br>I'm in the middle of the spectrum: I know that cheap speaker cable can choke your system (I've heard it), but I also believe that the differences will be minor once you reach a certain quality level. So when I needed cables, I wanted OFC with a high strand count and good insulation, as well as banana plugs that were already soldered on. That is exactly what these are. They sound fantastic, are well-made, and I am extremely pleased with the quality and price. br>A word of caution - Because these are sold individually, you'll need to order two if you have two speakers.
I tried a dozen different speaker cables before purchasing the Monster cables, and the Monster cables had the clearest sound for the price. The distinction was between night and day when I connected these. At the same volume level, the sound was much clearer and, dare I say, louder. The quality of the construction is quite good. The cable jacket is made of flexible PVC that is both strong and flexible. On the receiver and speaker sides, the gold plated banana plugs have a secure fit that isn't too tight, and the banana plug jackets are made of high-quality plastic that should last much longer than the Monster rubber jackets. I'm not sure whether the silver ring near the banana plugs is made of metal or high-quality plastic. Solid metal jackets would have been preferable, but I'm sure that would have increased the overall cost; however, I would highly recommend these cables. I've previously purchased Mediabridge products and have never been dissatisfied with them.
It's easy to believe that spending more money on audio will improve it, but this isn't always true. Some of these guys wax poetic about things that can only help in the most insignificant ways - at best - Although I'm not an audiophile, I believe I heard a difference when I replaced my speaker wires with these. I had the old twisted copper that you put through the little hole and clamp them down by tightening and the music seemed "fuller" if that's the right word? These plug right in, making them (without a doubt) easier and neater to use, but most importantly, I believe they improved the sound quality.
