This accessory, however, is not available on Amazon. This suction cup was purchased to replace one that had been damaged by the sun on my Akaso dash cam. It only worked because the dash cam's specific mounts are hinged (to the suction cup) in the same style of suction cup. I removed the stock Rove mount from the suction cup and swapped it out for the one that holds my Akaso. Exactly what I needed! Just make sure that if you use this for a different type of dash cam than the one that came with it, your dash cam's specific mount is hinged to the suction cup in the same way. Excellent buy.
My ROVE dash cam has been with me for several years. There are no issues at all. The original suction cup continues to function. When it is extremely hot in the car, it only fails (drops). When I park it in the sun all day on a hot day, for example. It doesn't matter if it's a hot day or not - Only on extremely hot days, when I put up the sun screen and the mount heats up. I bought this suction cup as a backup in case something goes wrong - I also want to be able to take my ROVE on a trip where I will be renting a car.
It does exactly what I need it to do and adheres to the window well. I'm going to get a few more just in case.
Although these suction cups have a Lifespan, mine lasted for about a year and a half. I believe it is reasonable. When I needed a new one, it was a simple replacement.
It's a replacement for my old one, which broke, and it works perfectly.
