Questions & Answers

Although it claims to fit the inreach se, the back of mine does not appear to be compatible. What is the relationship between the two?

The spine on the back of compatible InReach units will slide into and lock into this clip.

Do you sell a microphone clip mount for CB radios that is standard?

You might be able to. You could affix a CB mount to a ram mount ball using epoxy.

Will the Garmin 64x work with this?

No, I don't believe that is true. It's best if you can ck Ram directly. They provide excellent customer service.

Selected User Reviews For RAM Mounts Spine Clip Holder with Ball for Garmin Handheld Devices RAM-B-202-GA76U with B Size 1" Ball

Junk
3/5

RAM usage has reached its limit. I recently spent $100 on seven RAM products. The B size 2 hole ball mounts are the only ones that don't have any issues out of the seven. The ball mount is secured to the clip, which is mounted to the back of the GPS unit, with two different size nyloc nuts. I didn't realize they were different sizes until I tried to put the nut into the clip and it snapped. I wasn't putting any pressure on myself. The first nut slid into the hole with ease. The second didn't fit quite right, which I assumed was due to a lack of alignment on my part. I heard a crack as I turned the nut in an attempt to get it to go straight in. I know it's difficult not to think yeah right when you read something like that in a review. That was the case for me up until now. I'm surprised because I wasn't using any force at all. I suppose it's a good thing it happened now rather than when the gps was mounted and in use. RAM was highly recommended by a few friends, but all of their equipment was more than a few years old. Reading other reviews, it appears that RAM has fallen out of favor, much like so many others who become popular due to their reputation and then have to reduce quality due to increased demand; now it's time to play the return and try again game, which unfortunately is something that Amazon does far too often.

It was pure luck - My Radioddity HT was custom-made for it
4/5

I bought it thinking it was a clip mount for everything. My assumptions were incorrect. I did, however, reverse the "clip mount," add some washers, and extend the 10(? ) screws. It is now compatible with my Radioddity GS- 5B is a fantastic choice. I can access the battery's USB charging port by trimming about 1/8" off the bottom. This would look more professional with the use of appropriate spacers. It will work with my Baofeng UV-C lamp. br>br> 5R, but not so well (clips, but not vertically secure). It won't fit my Yaesu FT-100. 60 is a good number. br>br>I wish the description was a little clearer, but if I had looked closely enough, I would have noticed that it isn't what I was expecting.

This is simply unacceptable
3/5

On motorcycles, ATVs, and mountain bikes, I've installed Ram mounts. I recently purchased this mount for my brand new Garmin 66s, and on my first ride with it, it launched like something Elon had been working on. My first rocky downhill, which I rode in a Ram mount with my 78sc and never dropped, attempted a Mars landing with my 66s. Ram needs to improve and create a mount that wraps around the unit like the rest of their products. Yes, it had been properly locked in. When I put it in, it made a loud snap and wouldn't come out, and when I launched it, it made another loud snap.

Mount InReach
5/5

I was hesitant to purchase this because it did not include my specific device (InReach Mini). However, it is very comfortable to wear and has held my phone securely for several hundred miles on/off. Using the handlebar mount, I went for a road ride. Thankfully, I never had to use the InReach, but it was nice to have it on hand.

I purchased this clip, along with the angled bolt head adapter and short double socket arm, to create a mount for my Oregon 600 on my Polaris RMK 850 snowmobile
5/5

It took me less than 5 minutes to install, and it was nearly tool-free. Products that are well-designed. The clip appears to keep the GPS in place, and the socket arm clamps down on the ball ends firmly. So we'll see how it performs in the field this weekend, but from what I've seen so far, it appears to be a good fit. I'm looking forward to not having to constantly take my GPS out of my pocket to check it. The battery life will be reduced due to the fact that it will get cold sitting in this mount.

Enduro/off-road racing is not recommended

road! Ram mounts are a favorite of mine, and I've been using them for a long time. I've had the eTrex cradle mount for several years (and have gone through three different GPS units!). After years of use, I started to lose track of where I was, but I figured that was fine because I needed a new GPS anyway. br>br>After finding a good deal on a new GPS, I decided to pick up the RAM mount that would fit on my current handlebar setup. This mount, on the other hand, is completely unsuitable for off-roading. Riding on the highway The vibrations eat away at the plastic, and after 5 minutes, it's no longer usable. It's unusable after six rides. My GPS is now prone to falling off, so I attach it to a lanyard and secure it with electrical tape. It may be suitable for normal riding, but if you intend to use it for off-roading, you should think twice. Riding on the highway I'm not sure if they make a cradle mount for this model; if they do, I'll take a look at it, but I'm a little disappointed with how little use I got out of it.

Clip holder in the shape of a spine
4/5

We ride mountain snowmobiles and sometimes the easiest way to get them unstuck is to roll them over. The holder appears to fit properly; I just wish they made a cradle version for my device. Because we mount them similarly to motorcycles, this could be a problem. We have one older Ram system that serves as a cradle for an older model, and it has served us well for the past two years. Only time will tell, which is why I gave it four out of five stars.

Exceptionally safe
5/5

I recently used this mount to attach my Garmin Rhino to the handlebars of my four-wheeler. It secures it to the four-wheeler far better than I could have hoped. I'm not worried about my Garmin Rhino flying away or getting lost while I'm out on the trails or exploring new territory. This is a product that I strongly suggest.
