Originally from Seattle, they are made in China. As far as I know, RAM products are all equipped with this feature.

This pin lock base is comprised of two parts, each with six pins sticking up from the bottom, which allow you to lock the upper half down and rotate it. Except for the fact that it uses the same bolt pattern as the one shown, it has no connection to the ball mount

This product has a great design, is extremely durable, dependable, and easy to operate. In addition to kayaks and float tubes, I have a canoe and boat. Since all of my fishing boats have ram mounts, I am able to transfer my fishing electronics from one boat to another easily and smoothly. RAM mounts outperform all similar style mount systems available in my opinion, so I'd choose them over any other mount system any day.

There is no Ram brand on this, but it is made well. On the light sport aircraft that I have, I have this as well as a Ram adaptor that holds the GPS.

Having a mobile phone is a must. The RAM products we use at work are RAM products. Almost all of our equipment is equipped with a cell phone holder or a tablet holder. It is solid and has lasted quite a while. I will definitely buy more RAM parts and different mounts in the future.

Ram mounts have fast bolts. I use them all the time. Several of them have been used in different configurations over a several year period and have never If you drop suction cups on your electronics, they could end up being damaged. Please do not use them.
