A battery like this one was purchased to go along The fact that I already own a Nuvi 750, but I wanted more battery life with the 500 is one of the reasons why I bought it. As opposed to most other Nuvi models (and most other auto GPS receivers), both the 500 and 550 have an interchangeable battery (the 880 does too). When you make the most use of your GPS in your car, this may not be a problem. One of my favorite things about the Nuvi's is that you can carry it in your pocket as you roam through a new city or visit the parks or wildlife refuges. For it there is even a bicycle mount. In my experience, I could only use the 750 for about three hours before I had to recharge it. My experience with the 500 is that although I am not getting the "up to 8 hours" of battery life that the manufacturer suggests, I have gotten a solid 5 hours when the backlight is There may be more than I need, in that case this battery comes in handy. It takes me less than one minute to switch to GPS guidance for another five hours. You are welcome to include this feature in your latest GPS units, Garmin! You can read the full version here *br*.
My old battery stopped charging, I ordered this and it arrived quickly and works just as well as before. Even after several months, the software is still running smoothly. I found installing it to be very easy. The Nuvi 500 is a great product, but I wish Garmin would still make it or make an upgrade such as In all terrains and even in blue water, this GPS is by far the best. It turns out the cable and not my battery was the culprit. The new battery now gives me 16 hours of runtime, which makes trips offroad a lot more enjoyable. With the Garmin Nuvi 500, you can do off-roading, trails, road, water activities, and see This device also has the capability of being held in the hand. With my mountain bike, I've got the bracket mount.
A GPS unit's battery is usually its first component to fail, so I wanted to have a spare Garmin Zumo 665 battery on hand in case the original died. It works fine for me. Since I have invested a lot in this, between the mounting system on my bike, the planning software, and the Micro SD cards, I want to ensure that it will serve me well for many years. By using this battery, I am assured that I can still use the unit if and when the original one fails. The Journalist.
Upon arrival, the battery dated from 2013 and had a manufactured date of 2012. I submitted a message to the seller and was directed to Garmin for support. I did not follow up with it because it was cumbersome.
I will order it and see if it lasts or how well it performs, since I know it's a 2 year old battery. I think it will be ok for us to tell in the early stages.
The item was delivered on time and in its original (new) packaging. After installation, it went into the GPS easily and was fully charged in less than three hours. It has worked very well since I installed it and is expected to provide 2-years of service. GPS has been used for 3 years in standard mode.
We're happy with how it's going!.
