Is this a genuine Mitsubishi battery or a remanufactured one? I've had issues with aftermarket ones being too long and not fitting properly?

The one we got was genuine Mitsubishi, and it was the right size for our application.

It was made recently, so it isn't old, and I am pleased with it

It worked perfectly, and the battery had a very recent date code, despite the fact that the PLCs for which it was intended were old and obsolete.
