It is not clear to me what the difference between the 50LMT and 50LMTHD is. There is a 50LMT in my possession. Wouldn't it be better to reach out to Garmin customer service and find out It would make sense to me.
I found it to be effective

used YouTube to search for how to replace the battery in my Garmin Drive 50 GPS and came across the product demonstration video. It arrived quickly and since I watched the video online, I didn't need to watch the DVD, which allowed me to replace the battery An OEM battery is even secured inside the GPS with glue, making the battery look like it has been assembled by hand. It did not break, even after being used for this length of time. One of the hardest parts of the project was getting the new battery plugged into the circuit board, which took a minute (I had to wear my readers to see the hole. . . ). Unless I had the tool included in the kit, I probably would have broken my GPS if I had just ordered a battery (without the kit) because I would have tried opening This plastic tool is practical and has a magnetic screwdriver that you can use to keep the screws in place. A screen remover tool is worth the extra cost of the whole kit over just a replacement battery (IMHO). connected the GPS to the computer and turned it on immediately, and it began working. Now that we have a recharged GPS, we are ready to embark on our next road trip (and we saved some money by recharging the battery instead of buying a new unit).
It was saved due to an upgrade. In order to replace the battery for my Gamin auto GPS, I purchased this battery. I highly recommend this as an option for those whose devices are not holding a charge. The instruction video is clear and informative, the tools work flawlessly, and the battery itself has given the device new life. process of replacing the battery is pretty straightforward.
With the battery, the star screw driver does not fit the star screw that attaches to the Garmin Drive 50, 50LM, and In the course of stripping the star screws on the Garmin, I used the star screw driver that was included with the For Garmin Drive 50, 50LM, and 50LMT, you will need a T5 Torx head driver to remove the screws to reveal the overheating battery, which should then be replaced with a high-quality Power 99. Had to go buy a Husky 8-1/2 - Set includes one star precision screwdriver I see on the shelf at the local Home Depot (8) T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T15).
I had no problems installing it. Despite the screwdriver stripping on the second screw, it took approximately 30 minutes and would have taken only 15 minutes other than that. A plastic pry bar prevents the case from getting scratched or damaged, and works well. There is no need to purchase the dvd since you can access the video.
In order to be successful at this company, everything was provided. In addition to the battery, a tool is included and an instructional video is available. The charge on my GPS was now held and everything worked as it should. My GPS's battery life will depend on how much heat and cold it is exposed to in the car. I am minimizing this by placing it in a cupboard where it will not be exposed.
worked as it should, but the tools weren't up to par.
It was easy to use and well thought out. My GPS is up and running now that I have replaced the battery.
