Questions & Answers

This 2x cartridge has a capacity of how many pages?

The number of pages that can be printed is unknown, but I do know that it is more than twice the size of the standard HP950 ink I believe it's worth the price since the cost per printed page is lower with the larger size. The only HP950XL black cartridges I buy are the HP950XL in black and the regular HP951 color cartridges since I usually In case you print a lot of color, the HP 951XL color cartridge is the right

The HP Office JetPro 8610 is compatible with this?

My 8610 is compatible with this app

The package has a z10 on it. What does it mean?

Chips are now included in ink cartridges with the Z10 code. Unless you are using an 8600 printer, these cables are not compatible, and based on other recent reviews, the 8600 series as a whole does not work with them. These cartridges will not work, so no need to waste your time. The company sent through a firmware update to its customers Third-party cartridges were not allowed to be used with it. Rather than providing a benefit, it had the opposite effect. It rendered all of the current stock of 950 XL black and 951 XL color HP cartridges An update to the firmware was sent to them late last year in an attempt to correct the issue. The answer is no. The HP printer was also patched with a patch, but that patch was not pushed through. It appears that these cartridges are still not working. Make sure you read recent feedback before making a purchase to find this out! So far, I have tried seven different cartridges four blacks and three colors. The four inks I used came from the HP Store, not from It is worth mentioning that HP attempted to convince me to buy directly from them by telling me that Amazon sells old and defective cartridges. As it turned out, she was lying to me. There is a special product number Z10 on all new ink cartridges. See the photos above, and you'll see that all HP 951 XL color ink cartridges and 950 XL black ink cartridges that are currently available from Amazon all have the Z10 code etched on them. In this case, HP tech support will suggest that you buy a new printer as the cartridges simply cannot be reused. Fortunately, the only cartridges that work in these older machines are refilled HP cartridges by their local ink reseller that are available locally! As a bonus, they are cheaper too! My ink cartridges from HP have been failing since 13 years ago, so this is the first time I have used generic ink. I have no choice as the HP cartridges are all failing. Rather than wasting time and energy, it took me five hours to get it working It will take HP one month to figure out that they are just trying to sell you a I received a $125 gift coupon code for use to buy my new printer! They refunded my money, do not want my new cartridges returned, and wish to not have them returned. They solved the problem in that way. I am appalled!

Can you tell me how many pages this 2x cartridge will yield?

The type of printing will determine how long your document will take to print. There is twice the amount of ink in the cartridge, so you'll get twice as much use out of it.

That is a very annoying fact that they fail to tell you With my HP printer, nothing has ever gone wrong and I have never had any problems with ink cartridge replacements
3/5

This is what has happened so far. I understand that HP changed its ink cartridges so that the cartridges are supposedly zoned by location. Having your printer upgraded by HP is essential if you receive a new cartridge with the "Z10" stamp on it. My printer told me when I tried to insert the black ink cartridge that it was "incompatible". I bought a package of four ink cartridges. It was returned, and I ordered another. But the message was the same. On the other end of the line, after 90 minutes on the phone with HP tech support, I learn that you must replace all four cartridges with the "Z10" cartridges (whether they are empty or not) That is a very annoying fact that they fail to tell you The printer is great. This is the way they have handled it, so I hate it.

A firmware update by HP ruined the printer, so generic inks work now only! It has been over a month since I have attempted to use HP cartridges In order to resolve the problem, printer cartridges refilled at a local shop are the only option
3/5

According to them, HP changed its firmware in 2017, so generic replacement cartridges will no longer be compatible. They seem to have backfired on their little plan. The phone call took five hours, I received four black cartridges, one at a time, over a period of four weeks. None of the cartridges After HP was successfully sued in court and lost, they sent out a new firmware update, but didn't push out the patch. My printer is out of ink, so I need to buy a new one. It is not the cartridges, but the firmware that is causing your problems with replacement cartridges. In response to my question about whether or not their error was intentional, their tech support person told me "I am advised to tell you that this is a hardware problem and you should get In the past, I've taken out the new cartridge and put in the old cartridge and the printer works fine. The same thing happens with all of the color cartridges.

Beware of these There is no longer any compatibility between HP OfficeJetPro 8600 and HP cartridges
3/5

Whenever you purchase HP cartridges that say they work with OfficeJet Pro 8600, be sure to check that they really do. There is no longer any compatibility with the newer cartridges. It was through a private message on their Community Board that I received a reply from HP. Apparently they don't want customers to know, since they are still advertising and marketing them in this manner. I will share this quote with you It is my regret to inform you that your unit has reached End of Support Life because it was introduced on 08/29/2011, which means that HP no longer has access to recovery discs, hardware or software for your system. ". As of 12/31/2017, there will be no support for this unit.

It is disappointing to be disappointed by Amazon as well as It is the first time I have ever had problems choosing an authentic ink because I have never had a problem with this in the past
3/5

To ensure we don't run out of ink, I buy in advance for my offices. Additionally, I am receiving the incompatible error message on my Officejet Pro 8610 as well. The date by which I can return them has passed for me, too. All those little steps they suggest I took. I removed the cartridge and it still does not work. The connection is clean, and there is no need to reset it. In the case of my old cartridge, it can be put back in and it will still function. The fact that some office supplies that most people try to have on hand BEFORE they run out, like INK, don't have a longer return policy is really disappointing to me, in both Amazon AND the seller. My guess is that I will be making a local stop today. The printer sent me a warning when the ink was low, so I changed the cartridge right away. Fortunately, my old cartridge still has enough on it to tide me over until the new one arrives.

The business bought the device The following is available in bulk Each and every one of them fails! After the return window has closed NO! I am not happy
3/5

During the week of Aug 9th, 2017, we purchased 14 XL cartridges for our HP Officejet Pro 8100 printers. We are not unusual in stocking up on supplies, so all of this order was not used until just a few days ago. I would say every single one of them We can't use these bad cartridges in any of our printers! I placed an order directly with Amazon/Amazon Prime. Of course - everything went smoothly. Since we have passed the return deadline, we will be responsible for 14 of the full XL cartridges that we have for our HP Officejet Pro 8100 printers will not work in the 86 and 8100 Others have mentioned the same issue in recent feedback. What kind of logic would allow this to happen? It is noted that the labels on both the front and back of the cartridges are slightly different as well. In describing the bad cartridges, they state that they are only for use in US and Canadian Z10 devices. There is no mention of this in our other GOOD cartridges -- The only instructions on the GOOD cartridges are 'Intended for single use only' (in corresponding space on the label). I guess we'll have to buy our cartridges locally again and pay a bit more each time. It's better to know they will WORK than not.

There were a lot of rip-offs on these cartridges
3/5

My printer is not compatible with this cartridge. A message says that my HP Officejet Pro 8600 uses an incompatible cartridge. also purchased cartridges from another vendor and they said that they may only be used in Asia. I also tried "Pacific" and it didn't work. There was a label on this cartridge that said it was compatible with USA and Canada, but it was not. The spares were ordered more than three months ago for spares, so the return period has ended, and the money has been spent. Costco sent me new 950XL's, and my printer works just fine with them. The last time I ordered cartridges from Amazon, I returned them.

Having a problem with an ink cartridge
3/5

It took me two tries to get the ballpoint pen to work. The order has been placed This printer was incompatible, so it failed to print. A replacement has been ordered In the same boat. An error message occurred stating that the cartridge was not compatible with the printer. Currently I'm using the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. A model CM750A is available. Although I ordered the 951XL color cartridges, I didn't have any problems with them. I'm not sure why this 950XL is having difficulties. Trying the regular 950 to see if that works won't be my first option.

There are problems! To use with my HP 8610 printer, I purchased three of these inks
3/5

Since I had one already in use, I did not need to use them beforehand. However, now that I need to replace the cartridge, I am receiving a message saying that these inks are incompatible with the printer. The same message appeared when I tried another batch in the batch. The print ink appears to be for a printer according to both Amazon and the box, so I am unable to understand why that occurred. The same inks had worked previously when I ordered from Amazon. Since they were sold directly by Amazon, I will have to get in touch with.
