Questions & Answers
How your printer handles that depends on it. For example, if your printer accepts both black and color ink, then you would change your printer settings to only print in black, and then once you want to print in color, you would change it back. You will need a printer that can handle this
Ink cartridges for the Envy 7858 are HP 64
The package includes just the black cartridge, but there are packages that include the tri-color cartridge as well.

As I am adopting remote learning, I have to spend part of my student financial aid money on this ink because my printer has this kind of ink and it cannot be refilled at Costco. My estimated costs for this semester add up to another medical textbook purchase. I'll have to do a lot of printing this semester. HP makes so many different ink cartridges that are subtly different from each other is a ridiculously wasteful marketing scheme.
The quality of these cartridges is terrible. The printer prints only a few dozen pages at most and runs out of ink almost immediately. Now, there is also no way to find it. In the past couple of months since the school year began, I have purchased 4-5 of these wasteful inks. A defective cartridge must be involved. I have never experienced such a low print quality with any cartridge before. Taking advantage of.
The product info claims that each cartridge is good for 240 pages, but I know from my experience (having gone through three or four of them), it's more like 100. We had an older printer for many years that used a different cartridge and we replaced it maybe three times a year until we bought the HP printer that requires this ink cartridge. I strongly discourage anyone from buying an HP printer that requires this ink cartridge. Under our standard usage, the subscription will last one month. It is often out of stock as well, which indicates a systemic issue - they are not manufacturing them fast enough to keep up with the demand generated by normal customer usage.
Replace with refillable ink. It is so easy to get scammed by printer ink.
The product could have had a longer shelf life.
They were covered in ink. They look like refurbished cartridges, but I don't know for sure.
The amount of pages that it claims to print is not exactly true. It's still better than the usual contract, though. Only rarely do I ever use color ink on my printer. My printer is set to only use black ink. Since the 67xl lasts longer than the 67, you'll have some time to order another as opposed to going to a store where it will be more expensive and not guaranteed to be available. Ink is already too expensive for me, so I will not go to 2-3 stores for it. Replacing these parts works perfectly and fixes any problem.
printer, but message said "cartridge not compatible" - printer requires 67XL cartridges. I spoke with customer support, and she told me it was too late to get a replacement. These were purchased when I got my new printer because the cartridges it came with are not XL and I wanted to replace them as soon as my current ones ran out. I have been a client of Amazon for over 10 years and expected better service. The customer service representative said she would make the exception but I never heard from them again.
