I am as professional as my price range allows me to be The experience will not disappoint you
5/5

As a board member of a large homeowners association in Arizona, I oversee several financial and property management departments. In Arizona, we have some very strict laws about open meetings, and some of our members (because we're an active adult community) are not physically able to attend meetings. We began looking at how we could webcast our board meetings and allow interested clubs to webcast their general meetings in an effort to make our meetings more inclusive. Prior to this setup, we used the Logitech BCC950 which was inefficient due to the size of the room where we conduct meetings. The number of attendees is forty, we have five board members, and we have over 1,000 square feet of meeting space to use. During the first two years of using it, we struggled to keep up until we switched to the This is a HUGE improvement! I think audio is where the biggest improvements can be found In terms of capturing different levels of talking, the microphone does a great job, and the level controls can be adjusted quickly and unobtrusively. Taking advantage of the fact that this is certified for uses with Zoom and is an ideal match, we use it with the Zoom software. There's no registration fee ($15/month), it's easy to use, and it records your meetings in their cloud (albeit in lower resolution so you will not eat up a lot This system uses both the front and back controls of the unit (speaker box) as the remote controller and the speakerphone function can be used for those wishing to utilize the dial up number instead of the default audio capability. I can't think of a single time when I wouldn't An example of negative negative would be a negative negative. As if a false manual turn of the camera would damage the motor mechanism, the camera unit feels flimsy and cheap. Despite ordering one of these, the first one did not function properly with pan or tilt, so it was immediately returned and replaced with this As far as moving the camera is concerned, we don't typically do that much, and if it were permanently mounted somewhere, I doubt it would cause any issues it's just something to watch out My memory of when video and audio quality of this level cost tens of thousands of dollars is vivid. It's suggested that the user have a dedicated laptop without bloatware, no anti-virus software in order to get the most out of the system An internet connection beyond what's provided by security essentials, a wired connection to the network regardless of how strong and fast the wireless is, and so on You should take some time to review the training on Logitech and on the development of your software (Zoom or whomever) so that users can enjoy and take advantage of its features. In addition to the camera, laptop, A/V cart to store it all on, and our community's very own Viewsonic digital projector (also purchased from Amazon), we've spent approximately $2000 on these items. A whiteboard and screen sharing are included with the broadcast to make it look very professional. Using a wireless lapel mic (also available from Amazon), you can follow the presenter from exhibit to exhibit as they run around. Obviously, technology will continue to advance and improve in the next few years, so there will be even better/cheaper equipment on the market. Nevertheless, for an organization like ours that is trying to do what is best for the community, this is a very cost-effective way of doing so, and it is greatly appreciated by those that are unable to attend events.

Despite having a great concept, the execution fell short
3/5

The idea behind the product is very interesting. It's a really good It's effortless to pick up a decent PTZ camera, a solid speakerphone, and a DSP-based DVR for less than $1,000 The microphone has a built-in auto echo cancellation function (AEC). I appreciated that there was no quick start guide or user manual included, but it was relatively easy to get online. I would certainly recommend using this for making video calls, as it is very easy to connect. Although this camera is slow to find the sweet spot in its autofocus, its picture quality was very good. The good news is that's what's going on. It is the microphone in the desktop speakerphone that is the major problem. It is obvious there is a crackling sound at the Logitech Group end of the call when the user starts speaking for the first time A popping sound is heard. First two or three words of the talker are hidden by the unwanted additional sound. A few minutes later, the audio is great. When the talker is silent for a few seconds, when he or she resumes speaking, the first few words are once again masked by the crackling and popping sound. Our review of Amazon reviews of this unit is based on our experience with the audio issue. We read through the review a little deeper, however. There were also other users with the same issue and it happened over a year ago. This is a disappointment for me because Logitech is still shipping these with the same defect despite my past trust in them. My approach will be more cautious from now on.

The Logitech Group has so far been good to us
5/5

We find their product extremely useful, especially for the price. The system is much better than the way we did conference calls in the past, which were pretty much weekly affairs. We are really happy with the audio quality, especially with the remote microphones for larger groups. Our video quality is good as well. This is a pretty standard rating for a higher-end hotel The webcam is at an end. Zoom is pretty impressive. Getting it to work with RingCentral meetings was a breeze. Zoom meetings are just under the hood of RingCentral meetings. I am extremely impressed with the build quality. The feeling that everything is sturdy was very pleasant for me. There is a lot of weight to these remote mics. It surprised me that they are very durable and hold themselves down without tape. I expected them to be light plasticy things that I would have to tape One wish I would have had was for the cables to be a little longer, but I know it's an odd case with a larger In the same way, the lens could be just a little wider, although I cannot complain about it anyway. As long as it fits your use case, you can't go wrong with this! Overall, it was a good choice for us, especially for the price.

AV is my area of expertise, and I prefer to work this way
5/5

The audio visual department at my company uses this. The convenience of this equipment makes it appealing to me. We actually sell audio visual equipment of the highest quality. It is easy to set up the system, and it can be used on any computer. It is good to have portable mics placed around a large conference table to get clear and consistent sound. I cannot find a better deal at this price.
