In 2018, why would anyone require one of these? In any case, who uses a PS/2 keyboard these days? If you're reading this review, I'm guessing you're like me and trying to figure out how to keep your vintage keyboard connected to your cutting-edge workstation so you can keep writing code. My last PS/2 extension cable began to fail after about 8 years, rendering my dependable IBM Model M keyboard useless. To get things moving again, I purchased a Tripp Light PS/2 extension cable. So far, everything has gone smoothly. However, I'm deducting a star because the male end of the cable (the one that plugs into the computer) arrived bent and unfit for use. With some jewelry pliers, I was able to reshape it in a few minutes. However, everything is now operational. Hopefully, these will still be available for purchase the next time I need one.
It performs as expected and is of high quality. I'm currently using it to extend the range of an EcoNet Controls Bulldog Z-Series controller. In my basement, I have a Wave Water Valve that works perfectly. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative This is an INDOOR product; I would not use it outside in the sun or in inclement weather.
Not in the way it was originally depicted. With the rounded connector, it was shown to be a branded Tripp Lite product. I was given one of the standard china units that can be found almost anywhere for a reasonable price. I was under the impression that I was purchasing a high-quality item. I was disappointed.
It accomplishes the task at hand. as if it were a PS/2 cable However, it will not work with a Logitech Group system. This device makes use of a proprietary USB cable with a DIN connector. I'm not going to take away the stars because it serves its purpose.
I needed to extend the serial mouse and keyboard on my HTPC so I could put it in a closet.
It does an excellent job of extending my GPS receiver to wherever I need it. I like how the cable is "loose," as opposed to some cables that hold a curl. It also untangles easily; I'm not sure why my other cables aren't acting the same way.
For me, it worked perfectly. I used a little duct tape where the connection between the extension and the source cable was made to keep them together even under stress.
I was in desperate need of an extension cord. It does what it says it will. To get my keyboard cord to the back of the desktop computer, I needed an extension cord. Arrived on time.
