Questions & Answers

Is the Raspberry Pi 3 compatible with this?

I haven't tried it myself, but there are posts on the internet about configuring the SF30 Pro to work with Retropie (a custom Raspberry Pi 3 distro). It functions, but not as well as a plug-and-play solution. As well as other supported operating systems, it is plug-and-play.

Will it be compatible with the iPhone 5S?

No, it will not work with an iPhone.

Is it compatible with the Wii U console?

No, it's not for the Wii U, but it'll work perfectly on the Switch.

Do I use joy-con controllers in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? d-or-stick With this controller, is it possible to use a pad for character movement?

Every controller has a stick that moves and a dpad that taunts you. There are a few D-type controllers. This controller already has a stick, so it'll just be a pad with that function.

This is a fantastic controller
4/5

I was blown away by how cool this controller is when I first received it. It's a pleasure to hold. This is far superior to a joystick controller. The buttons and analog sticks are all very responsive and nice, and I've always despised the Nintendo Switch's staggered analog stick layout, so having them side by side like on a Playstation controller in their proper place is a huge plus, and the main reason I bought the 8Bitdo SF30 Pro. br>My only criticism of the controller's feel in the hand is that it is a little small. The SNES controllers were also small (I wear a medium glove), so this is the design they're going for.
Now. What made me give it a four-star rating? I'm pairing the device with my Nintendo Switch. It was for this reason that I purchased it. This controller should not be charged with a fast charger brick. You are going to destroy it. To charge, use a regular small charging block or plug it into your computer. br>I've had problems charging it with my Switch dock, but the problems haven't been consistent.

This is a fantastic controller
5/5

To begin, this controller isn't perfect for one reason, which 8bitdo will address with a firmware update later. The d-shaped buttons and the d-shaped d-shaped buttons are two of the The pad worked well for playing platforms, and the sticks felt like a mix of Xbox One and PS4 controllers. I mostly use this controller for the Switch, but I've also used it on the PC to play emulators and it works great; just make sure to read the manual that comes with it to learn how to connect it to multiple devices. The issue I had with the controller was that the rumble made so much noise that it became irritating quickly. It was fixed by 8bitdo, but you had to download the update to a computer and then install it on the controller, which was fairly simple and quick.

With the Nintendo Switch, it's a dream come true
5/5

On Black Friday, I purchased this controller to use with my Nintendo Switch. It connects instantly with no lags, and I didn't have to do anything to make it work. br>br>The travel distance between buttons is minimal. br>Analog movement is smooth, and spring tension ensures that it returns to its original position without ghosting. br>The battery life is good, and you can charge and play at the same time; it also works well with Super Smash Ultimate.

After only a month of light use, the controller died
3/5

The controller functioned properly at first. It's fairly light, and it reminded me of the controllers I used to have as a kid. I've played Minecraft with it almost every day. br>About a week ago (after about a month of ownership), I started having "sticking" issues with the controls, where they were either too loose (continues past the point where I told it to stop) or not sensitive enough (repeatedly trying to line up a shot with a bow and arrow and it's too high or too low and doesn't stop in the middle). I have a strange habit of washing my hands before playing, just to avoid issues like sticking or (shudders*) greasy buttons. br>Unfortunately, it stopped working today while I was using it. I got a $45 paperweight after smelling the distinct odor of overheating/burnout. The deadline for returning the item has passed. Be cautious when purchasing something online.

For use with my Fire HD 8 (10th generation), this is an excellent joystick! At least in the case of Doom and Doom II
5/5

Games like Doom or Doom II (the original games) aren't a good match for tablets. I've never been able to get the controls on the screen to work for me. However, a joystick can be used to operate the Fire tablet. I've gotten the XboxOne controller to work well with it, but it's a little bulky to carry around in a backpack. This 8BitDo controller performs admirably and, if desired, can be used with a variety of operating systems. Android mode is activated by pressing and holding the Start button and the yellow B button at the same time. It is fully compatible with the original Doom and Doom II games. br>br>The battery life is amazing, and it charges quickly and easily using a USB cable. C cable. It was a breeze to pair with my Fire tablet. br>br>It also has a very low profile, making it easy to slip into a backpack, purse, or shoulder tablet/computer case. The joysticks on a competitor's product were too jerky for me. This joystick performs admirably, moving the cursor exactly how I want it to be moved, not too much and not too slowly. br>br>I'm really pleased with it!.

I absolutely adore it! The most effective controller! I'm not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination
5/5

I'm a python programmer who doesn't play video games. My most recent gaming system was a SNES. Zelda and Castlevania are two of my favorite old 2D games. I discovered a few games on the iPad that were very similar to the old Zelda games for the NES and SNES. The controls, on the other hand, were a complete disaster. It would make things so much easier if I had a gamepad. I was able to locate one, but it was of poor quality. However, it was very similar to this one. My Android phone and iPad were unable to connect. On my Mac, I was able to connect and use it, but the controls were terrible. I most likely gave up because I don't play many games. This controller was discovered by me. I decided to give it a try because it had received positive feedback. OMG. It's simply incredible. I can relax on the couch and place the iPad on the TV tray after a few long hours of work. Also, (as of right now, Goblin Sword and Swordigo. ) It's wireless, which is one of my favorites. Without having to worry about wires, I can relax and enjoy the game. It also has a USB port. Charged at C. This tiny game controller is fantastic!.

My Macbook Pro does not support it
3/5

I bought it to play Bioshock and Doom on my Macbook Pro, but it didn't work. I followed the instructions exactly several times: pressed start and A for 1 second to get three blinking lights, pressed the pair button for 3 seconds to get the left to right rotating lights, opened the Bluetooth settings on the Mac and paired with the wireless controller, the Mac detected and paired, and the controller displayed a single light. When I first started Bioshock, the game didn't recognize the controller (went to options and controller, no device detected), and when I tried Doom, the game didn't recognize the controller either. br>Just to be sure, I tried connecting the controller to several Windows machines with no problems, so I'll keep it because it works wirelessly on my Windows laptops. But I'm disappointed that I paid $40 for something that doesn't work with my Mac, which is why I bought it, and that a $20 wired controller works just as well, if not better, on my Windows PCs.
