This camera does a good job at using challenging lighting, but the resolution and clarity are lackluster
3/5

A camera like this can handle challenging lighting situations well The subject should be dimly lit, or the frame should be divided into bright and dark areas. brightens and levels out the lighting to make a very impressive subject. However, the FOV of the camera is much too wide to be useful for traditional web cams. When the camera is set to its widest setting (default), it captures a significantly greater area than any other webcam I have used. The only way you can see the resolution of the 1080P movie is if you use it at the widest field of view. When you narrow the FOV (zoom the image) or enable AI framing, the resolution starts to look like that of It is really helpful that you provided an automatic translation A portrait mode simply moved the frame into the middle in order to center you in the image, but it was no match for the terrible resolution this camera has at what should be considered a normal field of view. Aside from that, the AI also automates By framing and tracking your head, you place it in the center of the image instead of placing it at the top third of the image as The result is that your head is always in the frame with a lot of dead space above. It is probably possible to incorporate software to fix this, but the lack of resolution cannot be rectified. As well, I want to emphasize that I did update the firmware to version 1. I found all of these issues with the current version of the software, as opposed to the version 42 I had when I first installed it. It has also happened to me a few times when the camera hasn't connected or appeared when we started a meeting, and I had to unplug *Edit
The Anker team reached out to me and gave me a refund in full! In addition, they mentioned that they are planning to provide more control over the FOV (give the customer a narrower view) in a future release of the software. If Anker continues to be this in-tune with the needs of the market, I look forward to the achievements they make in the future Adapt to the feedback of the customer.

This is a great upgrade with plenty of room for growth
4/5

AFTER 3 WEEKS*** Anker has continued to release firmware and software updates in the interim. HDR definitely has an impact on color quality, as I can tell at this point. There is a noticeable difference when HDR is However, why would this be an option at all? What is the purpose of turning off a There's still no way to manually zoom in and out of an image, which I would really like to have. It was the "Solo-" A lot of meetings were really disrupted by the "Frame" feature. In this case the camera zooms, crops, and centers your face when you lean forward, turn to the side, or whatever. The entire meeting notes this occurrence, comments on it, and wonders why it has happened. Most meetings at your desk benefit from it, but most of the time it can be distracting. Despite the fact that I am still hoping for software improvements, the image quality is still very good. It is a huge upgrade over what I had previously. I am still pleased with my Hopefully more is in store. To compare the two cameras, I will include 1) the built-in camera on my MacBook Pro and 2) an external camera that I got when I started working from home (3MP, 1080p). In terms of physical form, the Anker C300 has a solid feel to it. Using USB-connected devices I had to fiddle with the USB cable to ensure that it was fully plugged into the camera's C port because it was recessed so far into the body. A USB cable measuring about five feet long is included Plugging in a USB cable In addition, there is a USB drive in the box Plugging in a USB cable In case you need it, you can use an adapter. I have noticed no difference in picture quality between my built-in camera and my external camera with the C300 simply by not changing any settings. It is really hard for those cameras to pick up details such as color and lighting variations. I notice, for instance, that my old camera makes a dark blob out of my black sweater. You can see variations in lighting and much more detail with the C300 than when you're in person. It is not, though, on par with an external condenser mic I already use, so I was not expecting an improvement in sound quality over that. The bad news is that it's not really a significant As a matter of fact, the focus is much better on voices than on subtitles. You should also tune out all other sounds coming from within You should be able to keep some of that noise off your Zoom calls if you work from home and have children, pets, and other sounds around you. I am very happy with the AnkerWork software At the moment, AnkerWork has a limited set of options. Adjust the contrast ratio (composed of brightness, saturated colors, sharpness, and sharpness), frames per second (30,60), resolution (360p, 720p, 1080p), and brightness. It was fine to leave them at the default settings. Even though I adjusted them, I couldn't improve the image much. Those that are more interesting and relevant to you The Fixed Angle option is available in three angles (78°, 90°, and 115°) and the Flexible Angle option (Auto-) The solo frame - Picture frame). As with zoom levels, Fixed Angle settings function as a zoom setting. If you start from the widest field of view (115°), you'll see a lot of the surrounding room, but if you start from the smallest (78°), you'll see a lot Even though the difference is not that great, it does help to be a little flexible. If you prefer, you can select the Auto-switching option With the Frame option, you can have the software automatically crop and zoom the image to include everyone, or you can choose Solo- Click to manually zoom and crop the image A frame to zoom and crop the image so that the closest face is included in the picture. Your face is tracked, so it moves with you as you do! Solo was one of those things I wanted to like - I disagree with the way the frame places the face exactly in the center, as I believe it is better to place it above the center of the picture. It really made me wish there was a way to just crop the image, zoom, and resize it manually. My desk isn't the kind of place where I move around much in a normal meeting. The manual zoom and manual focus are my hopes Crop can be added to the software at a later date. There was a firmware update that enabled HDR and anti-aliasing This is flicker. These settings were tried in a variety of lighting situations (lots of natural light, artificial light, low light) and I failed to notice anything to do with HDR. In opposition to You only need to use flicker if all of your fluorescent or LED lighting is causing your image to flicker. The lighting scenario in which I got the flicker was hard for me to create. The HDR and anti-aliasing programs don't seem like a good idea to me The company does a lot for the world. I find that this camera is a significant improvement over my built-in camera or my cheaper external camera, with a much more detailed and lifelike picture than I could get from my built-in or cheaper It has room for further improvement, and I am confident Anker will increase the functionality in In terms of value, I feel that the software provides a good deal at the price I paid, and in the future I hope that value will increase as it.

Quality you can rely on Unlike my Logitech C920, this is considerably better
5/5

It looks amazing in 1080p at 60 frames per second. In case my manager wanted to try out this, I called him on Zoom and we compared them. A neat feature of the Anker and Solo was their field of view This frame keeps you in view no matter what you're doing. I am looking forward to continuing to use it, and I will update the review when I encounter problems.

Built-in camera is comparable to the camera on the iPhone
4/5

There are three cameras that I bought To compare these devices, we looked at the Logitech Brio, the Anker C300, and the Razor Kiyo Pro. The microphone was not included in the comparison because I only compared video. It is not clear whether any of the cameras are a big improvement over the built-in camera of the MacBook, which isn't that good to begin There is nothing comparable to what the iPhone or iPad Pro/Air cameras provide. Here are some good things to start with All of the cameras are exceptional when it comes to picture quality and low light performance. Unlike other cameras, this one can also be operated with a USB2 cable, which means you won't need to buy a separate USB-cable adapter You can use the cable of the C charger as an extension cord. In a private office setting, you might not find the cameras to be useful. For example, they have the widest field of view, which is useful for a meeting room. A change in FoV results in a lower resolution since the camera only has a 2MP sensor (just like the Razor). 720p is essentially what you get not much better than the camera built-in. The Zoom software, Facetime, and Facetime didn't cause any problems for me. In the current firmware update, the LED flickers slightly, but future updates should improve it. Compared to DSLR cameras, the Razor and Brio renders colors about as well as DSLR cameras. What are the pros and cons of the Anker? As far as well, if you are using a desktop PC without any built-in camera, it is a good and cost-effective tool. If you are using a desktop PC with a built-in camera, but are working at night or in a dark room, As for the rest, meh. Although I did not rate it a 4, I still gave it a 4.
