About twice a year, I break or lose the eyepiece, so I finally had the foresight to order a couple. They have a level that attaches to the flash shoe and fit snugly, even tighter than the OEM. The rubber ring around the eyepiece is comfortable, and you can't tell it apart from the original in most ways. I'm glad I ordered this one after years of buying the OEM version; Not only is it less expensive, but there are two of them, each with two levels. I'm glad I was able to cover the flash shoe with the levels; there was a lot of gunk in there. br>br>I would purchase these eyepieces again because they are far more useful than the OEM eyepiece.
As I have only recently received it, I am unable to comment on its long-term viability. The eye cup resembles the one that came with my 90D in terms of appearance and feel. On the camera, the installation is very tight. The addition of a hotshoe cover / level is a nice touch. I never considered getting something like that, but I can see how it could be useful in some situations, and protecting the hotshoe can't hurt.
I'm a beginner photographer who bought a refurbished Canon 20D. The eyepiece appeared to be in good condition, but it was a little hazy. This eyepiece was purchased to replace the one that came with the original camera. It's extremely comfortable, has a high-quality build, and the level for hot shooting is fantastic, as my tripod lacks a leveler. Overall, this is a fantastic purchase. If you need an eyepiece, I recommend buying it, and the level is a nice bonus.
The Canon eyepiece was cheap and worked well with the 5D. The eyepiece is functional, but it has a slightly loose fit, which is a concern. It'll be too easy to take off. It would be better if it were a little more snug.
The eyecup fit my camera perfectly; one of the included levels was lost shortly after I attached it to my camera, but I didn't buy this set for those. The eyecup was all that mattered to me.
This piece was made of a soft material that I liked. br>I also appreciated the small level that acts as a flash contact protector.
During my camera's use, the eyecup broke. Both eyecup pieces had their rubber removed. I had high hopes for this item, but due to poor quality, I would not recommend purchasing it.
When I switched to a different type of eyecup, I misplaced my original. This one appeals to me more - very similar to the original.
