Yes, that is correct. The eyepiece appears to be identical. This, however, is identical to the one that comes with the camera. I purchased one, but when it arrived, it was identical to the one on my A7ii, so I returned it.

They are comfortable to wear, but they do not last long. The rubber section is easily torn and dislodged. They also fall off the camera far too easily, and I've already lost three.
If anyone wants it for their A7riii, this will fit it. I wasn't sure because that model wasn't on the list, but I figured it'd work, and I'm here to tell you that it does! A7Riii.

This is compatible with the A7iii and possibly the rest of the A7 series, but it is not the same as the one that came with my A7iii. The one that came with the A7iii was a little more noticeable and a lot softer. I'm a little dissatisfied with the outcome.
