I checked resistance of the cables with a meter before installing, but did not consider connections being tight because I have never experienced this before having installed several car stereos over the last 20 years. Finding this after gutting a car's interior and running wires is, to put it mildly, aggravating. The sound quality is adequate, but I cannot recommend it for a hidden or permanent installation; one should never have to tape connections in place to keep them from coming apart.
I've got a Pioneer AVH-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX A Cervin Vega 10inch enclosed sub, a 4200 head unit, and JBL component speakers. I started with an eight-year-old Monster cable, which I bought in the hopes of increasing the output of this pocket sub. Let me tell you how pleased I was after spending the time to install this cable; WOW- What a difference it made; the output was really boosted, and the low end was much tighter than before. These are high-quality cables with RCA connectors that could be a little tighter. I crimped the outer ground ring and they now fit snugly on the amp.
There are no issues to report. They do their job well and at a reasonable cost.
These are the ones to get if you're looking for something of high quality. I was chasing some interference sounds, which turned out to be a problem with a set of Monster brand cables. I swapped them out for these and WOW, what a difference. All of the issues were resolved, and the sound quality was enhanced.
You've come to the right place if you're looking for high-quality cable for your installation. This is a fantastic cable. A lot of it is run by me. My Kenwood dnx691hd is connected to my Kicker front row dsp via 6 channels. Then six channels to my JL Audio 900/5, which powers focal front and rear components as well as a JL high output enclosure. This cable is available for purchase. The extra money is well worth it.
