"Speaker Wire" is a terrible name for this
4/5

There are a slew of other uses for it. "Speaker Wire" is a terrible name for this. There are a slew of other uses for it. They're discouraging people from buying this cable for other valid and acceptable purposes by calling it Speaker Wire. br>br>The cable appears to be of reasonable quality; it was simple to strip and maneuver. The fact that the cable's voltage rating is not printed on the outer jacket is one issue that may cause you problems with building inspectors. This is something that some inspectors will look for. I understand that this cable is intended for low-voltage applications. for the purpose of voltage Whatever the case may be, the cable's voltage rating should be printed on the outer jacket. The voltage rating is always printed on the cable jacket for Belden, Southwire, General Cable, and other brands. This cable was not manufactured in China. br>br>.

Is it possible to have a good wire spool with a broken spool? First and foremost, there are numerous articles explaining what gauge you should use, as well as UL listings and what is code compliant when installing these in your walls
3/5

If you're not familiar with terms like size, conductivity, UL listings, copper vs copper-nickel, or copper vs copper-nickel, read on. clad- Then begin with aluminum (CCA). For those worried about your installation meeting code, I've attached a photo of the wire labeling. br>br>Overall, this is a decent speaker wire at a reasonable price; it was easy to strip, and the internal jacket sheathing was nice; however, when twisting the ends, an alarming number of strands simply fell off in my hand; perhaps this is normal? Maybe that's fine because this is the first time I've needed my own speaker wires; the sound is good to my ears, but I'm no audiophile. What I find amusing is their claim about the spool. When it arrived, more than half of my spool had been broken off and was missing. I also looked in the box it came in, but it wasn't there. "SUPERIOR SPOOL," says the narrator. The spool is made of high-strength plastic, allowing it to withstand more abuse than traditional cardboard spools.

For the money, this is a great copper wire
4/5

As a retired audiophile, I've always opted for the best cabling and wiring available. I used to waste a lot of money on MIT equipment. One tri- It cost $1,000 per foot to install wire with filters. To be honest, this cable does a fantastic job for a fraction of the price, and it's easier to work with, hide, and sound great. You can't go wrong with this speaker wire; depending on the length of the run, get the thickest gauge that will work for you. Longer runs necessitate a thicker gauge.

I used this for speaker wire and was unsure if the wire was full 14 AWG before purchasing it
5/5

I am confident that the wire is true 14 gauge based on how my wire strippers worked on it; however, if you are not careful when using the 14 gauge strip slot, you will cut some of the strands. To be on the safe side, I went with the larger 12 gauge slot. The outside covering was a little more difficult to cut than anticipated, but that is probably for the best.

I recently wired an old theater with this product, and while I liked how it dispensed and was numbered with remaining feet, one of the speaker sections was defective after a trial run
3/5

I ran it with extreme caution, and there were no snags. So, what went wrong? I ran a new section of wire, and the last speaker is now operational. Is it possible that there was a flaw in the box? br>Has this wire caused any other problems?.

The sound stage has been greatly expanded! My Yamaha 6490s have been transformed into beautiful instruments! Now I'm convinced
5/5

I used CCA speaker cables of the same gauge as the originals - And it was all thanks to this copper wire! There is a significant difference between the two. My low-cost speaker has started to play music! Excellent value for money and high-quality speaker wire.

Is it better to use a 14 gauge or a 16 gauge? The peeling outer jacket is excellent, soft but not too soft
4/5

The issue I have with it is that I ordered 14 gauge wire, but when peeling it off, I noticed the wire is thin for 14 gauge, and it looks and feels like 16 gauge, which I know because I have 14 gauge wire hooked up to my other speakers, and the wires are fairly thick. So I'm not sure about the size of this wire; the sound is fine, though not as loud as my other speakers; and don't believe the distance and size nonsense; I tested both 16gauge and 14gauge, and the sound was always louder than the 16gauge; my living room is small, so distance isn't an issue; so take it for what it's worth.

This is excellent wire, and you should use it to wire your home sound system
3/5

However, I was dismayed to discover that the roll began at the 5ft remaining mark. The box would have been ideal for my home, but I was 4 feet short, so I'll have to go out and buy more to finish the job.
