I see this is for in-wall use but there is no mention of UL approval. Is this product really UL approved so that it will pass building codes when installed in walls?

Instead of asking how many conductors there are (which is two), we should be asking how many STRANDS of fine wire are This is a crucial consideration when it comes to speaker cables

It is wise to listen to wisdom
3/5

I'm impressed you actually read the reviews! This cable is the same as the cable I use to connect to my internet modem, which was one of the reasons I chose it. It was important to me that I mount the speakers on my walls as high as possible. There is no noticeable difference between the new cable and the existing cable. In order to install this receiver, the electrical output is 100 watts for each channel, so the size of the conductor I needed was one that could handle the wattage, as well as the length of the run. As far as oxygen is concerned, I am a fan The cable is free, it has a better conductance, and it lasts a lot longer than the others. Cables that have been oxidized turn green, and should you notice that, you should cut the cable back to the good conductor area or rip it out. The wise old man in the neighborhood used to say, "Son, if you can't find the time to do it right the first time, how in the world will you find the time to do it over, and do it right the second time?". There's no substitute for an old man like that.

It is not UL listed, nor is it listed for installation in walls or plenums

The product appears to be of decent quality, but there is no information on the reel or marked on the cable other than the footage itself. Make sure you are careful when buying. Due to the lack of rating, I would not run this wire in the wall or attic, or even conceal it. Wouldn't it be terrible if your house caught on fire after this cable was found to be to blame. On the outside sheath of all cable MADE IN THE USA, there must be some kind of rating stating the temperature, voltage, and.

An inspection rating is missing (which is necessary for an official inspection)
3/5

On this product there are no ratings, but if it's going to be installed in a wall it should have one. This will not be approved by electrical inspectors. Inspections are required in my case, since I'm adding an addition with the help of a professional contractor. As far as quality is concerned, it seems like a good product, and I am certain there would be no problems with this cable/wire. It's really hard to tell now whether or not I should take the risk. CL2 is the approved rating for passing inspections, so the listing clearly indicates that it is CL2 rated. So, it is ridiculous that there is no indication of the supposed CL2 rating at all (on the wire or on the *By the way. There must be a reason why a CL2 rating is not printed on the product actually made by China, even though it is advertised as such. This was missed.

How could it have been? Amazon is the place to be!.

USE WITH CAUTION! This cable isn't ready to go inside a wall or roof
5/5

During inspection, the inspector noticed that this cable (amazon basic 14gauge cable) did not have any marks on it, so he asked me to show him the cable package to verify that it is certified. In addition, the packaging does not include certification information for use in walls. The Amazon Rep assured me that the cable does not have certification, so it cannot be used on the wall since it does not comply with the requirements. Therefore, I had to buy a new cable and dispose of the old one. If you are planning to use this cable inside the wall or in your attic, you should not purchase it.

The quality is very good

It has always been difficult for me to use my phone at home because I get interference from a nearby radio tower. As part of my endeavor to eliminate subwoofer noise, I purchased a Blue Jeans subwoofer isolation transformer and surge protectors with RF filters. In my case, it had two main tower speakers and a center speaker The headphones must be wired (since they support that and have 6 ohm resistance). Best Buy had an old stock of 14 gauge speaker wire and Dynex wire that I used to wire them. Aside from the four surrounds (that are dipole or bipole at 8 ohm), which have single pairs of posts, I also have various lengths of wire running between the posts (the longest is 40 feet, which goes around the molding in I noticed that my right back surround speaker (the one closest to the radio tower) began to display static around 7pm. Track 1 consists of 1 audio track. Changing speakers did not prevent static from persisting at the same position, so I knew there were interferences. Using 99 as a comparison, I came to a difference of $1. 20. The wire I chose had 9% O2 free and CL2 rated insulation and even though I was not going to run it under my floor (because that would be beyond a hassle), the bigger diameter white insulation seemed fitting (since it matches Despite the lower price, it seems like this Amazon brand wiring is very good (I'm sure it is It turns out that 14 gauge is larger in diameter than my old cable (I use 12 auger settings on my wire stripper, since 14 would cut some strands) and so, I decided 14 gauge was ideal for my application. The above example demonstrates that "14 gauge" does not mean the same thing, and you're actually getting more for the money when you use Amazon wires. It is much easier to have the copper wire connect the binding posts of the speakers than the jumpers that came with them (since it is of a better quality). Once upon a time, I was bi-sexual I wired to get some better details in my towers, but this wire's quality is bad, and I feel it was The speakers do seem louder and there is no static (guess that has something to do with the quality of the speakers and maybe the way the red and black cables are twisted together). In addition to the markings for every foot on the outer jacket, there is another feature I haven't mentioned. So it is nice that you can figure out each run of speakers easily.
